Nyx looked at her reflection in the rock.

Or rather, where her reflection would be, if it wasn't currently being 'borrowed'.

Now, all there was was a faint outline imprinted in the stone where her image should be, accompanied by the faintest tinge of colour.

She sighed forlornly, then yelped as the rock above made a cracking sound as if it were about to cave in.

Alysha called over from behind Nyx's shoulder, out of her line of vision.
"Sorry! That was me!"

Nyx rolled her eyes. "What are you doing, anyway?"

"Trying to get us out."

"Well, I'm not saying I don't want to get out, but can you not do it in a way that might result in my being crushed to death? A ceiling collapse would not be appreciated."

"Shut up and either go play nurse to our little injured friend, or come help me find a way out.'

Nyx did neither, instead removing her phone from her pocket and switching it on.

No signal. Not that she expected it to say otherwise.
It was a bloody miracle they still somehow had oxygen, forget phone signal.

Over in the corner, she heard Luci cough, groaning as she floated back to reality yet again.

Nyx rushed to her side, yet again.

"Hey, are you okay? Can you hear me?"

" Course I can." Luci groaned, coughing huskily. "Got anything to drink?"

Nyx withdrew a tiny water bottle with a trickle of water in it from her jacket pocket.
"This is all I've got. We're lucky we've got anything at all, actually. "

Luci blew a sigh, attempting to prop herself up on her elbows. "So other than you, me and bitch-face over there, anyone else survive?"

Nyx looked down sadly. "I... Don't know. Possibly."

Luci chuckled at Nyx's lost-little-girl expression. "You don't know whether to hope he survived or not. That's pathetic."

Nyx looked away, hurt. "I think I liked you better unconscious." She muttered.
