"Right, I'm going to need you to hold her arm steady. She's unconscious, but we may accidentally trigger a nerve reflex, and we don't need her twitching around and making this more difficult than it is.
For God's sake Selene, shut him up! And stop him peering through the door! Do not let them come in!"
Evelyn shouted as for the twelfth time Billy opened the door a crack and peered through the gap.He slammed the door shut, giggling as the sound of Selene scolding him.
"Stop doing that, this isn't a game!"
"Life's a game!"
"Okay, you're a bleeding loon! This is serious, stop mucking around! Put that down... Don't touch it!"Evelyn groaned and rolled her eyes over her surgical mask. "Good God, sometimes I wonder about that kid. And a lot of the time I want to put him on tranquillisers, just to make him behave.
Nick, turn her wrist over, and grip it hard. I'm going to insert the tube.""So what exactly are you going to do to her?"
"Well, this tube is going to pump the contaminated blood out of her, not at a fast pace, but gradually."
"What? Why?"
"A: Because it'll remove some of the contaminated blood from her body, which can only be good.
B: Because too much blood will kill you, and we will be giving her blood.""Who's blood? And how will it not get contaminated by the virus?" Travis exclaimed loudly.
"This is the part you're not going to like.
Thing is, I found a cure. Sort of. Nephilim blood destroys the virus."
She was greeted by a deathly science.
Cringing slightly, she continued. "Yes, we are giving her a transfer of my blood to attempt to cure her.""Underline attempt!" Nick yelped. "That could possibly kill her!"
Dun dun duuuun!
And Evelyn has officially earned her place in the mad science hall of fame! Also, I might not be able to update the next two days, I'm at my grandparents.
