Another pair of hands

Julianna knocked on the door, Cody waiting expectantly besides her. Chuckling, he nudged Julianna's side. "Izzy's stalking us from down the road." He whispered.
"Yeah, I know." Julianna whispered back, eyes twinkling.

Cody laughed again. "She's crazy!"
"Absolutely bonkers." Julianna agreed, joking.

"Yeah, she is. We don't need help, we're super awesome!" He punched his fist in the air excitedly.

Julianna chuckled at his childlike excitement.
"Yeah, super awesome! Now, is anyone answering?"

"Bang the door again, loudly, like hitting it with a hammer!"
Cody said, swinging his little fists towards the door.

Julianna raised an eyebrow. "You just want to see me kick down the door, don't you?"

"Yeah! Kick down the door! Break it off its hinges like crash! Bang! Yeah! Like you did that other time at that other place!"

"Yes, well that other time at that other place cost us a lot in repairs, so preferably not until we've exhausted all other options."

She peered into the window besides the door. "See, someone is coming. Be prepared, just in case."

Seconds later, the door was pulled open by a bedraggled Selene. "What? I'm sorry, it's just we can't have visitors now. Something's happened. I'm sorry. Goodbye."

She went to close the door, but Julianna stopped her. "Wait, can I just ask, is Magnus here? Cause if not, he's MIA."

"He's here. He's helping us. Sorry for your inconvenience." She was dead-eyed, voice emotionless.

Julianna furrowed her brow. "What happened? Is there any way I can help?"

Selene groaned. "Suppose I can tell you. Rachel got injured by a Draugr, and now it's infected. Lady Mater has told us there's chance of curing her, we just need to get her up to the mansion. An operation which you are currently slowing down."

"Oh, God." Breathed Julianna. "Draugr. They're the zombie things that were epidemic a year or so ago, right? Thought that had just petered out?"

"Well, it didn't." Snarled Selene.

"And this Lady Mater can help, right?"

"She's the only chance we've got."

Julianna thought for a moment. "You need another pair of hands? I can send Cody back with Izzy or something."
