The way

Nyx was lost.

So fucking lost.

Well, not completely lost. She had a marked passage back. Just no idea where to go forwards.

Bloody hell, who knew this place was so big? Well, she'd known it was big, but suddenly, it felt really big. Like, surely multiple cave-ins would have condensed it or something. Though maybe it had opened it up more instead? Geography questions galore, and now was soooo not the time. Besides, that required Google to answer, and if she had internet, she certainly wouldn't be using it for cave-in trivia, instead, rather, an SOS.

Her breath fogged in front of her face, and she shivered, growing cold. Speeding up her pace, she hastily strode through the unevenly paved tunnels, stumbling slightly as she tripped over her own toes, forcing her to clutch the wall. She giggled slightly at her own clumsiness, ignoring purposefully how much like Alysha randomly laughing at herself made her sound.
Alysha was always laughing. At herself, at the people around her, at the whole world and at nothing at all. Either that, or glaring and growling.
But again, not thinking about that.

Bet she'd know the fucking path though.

Nyx considered yelling, to see if anyone heard, but the memory of the previous rock slide was very fresh in her mind, and she didn't want to cause another one just by shouting.

Taking a moment to scratch another mark in the wall, she considered her options. Left or right? Didn't look much different either way, but who knew, either could lead to something crucial, a companion, or an exit, or certain death... Or just nothing.
And no way to tell. Damn.

Stepping forwards, still indecisive, her foot splashed lightly in a puddle, luckily not seeping through her shoe, although it made her jump.

Cursing, she scraped it off on a nearby rock.

Foot marks.

Wet footmarks, not hers, leading from the puddle down the passage.

Someone had been through here.
