Thinking

Maddie was freaking out.

Apparently, finding out you're actually alive after accepting you were dead can do that to you.

After her realisation of her returned physical existence, triggered so unceremoniously by Sebastian's blasé comment, her mind immediately tried to process every fact meant by her return to life, and consequently it overwhelmed her.

The four root thoughts that clouded her brain, and without going into depth of all this meant to her, were;

One. She had a physical body again.

Two. She was back, no, wait, trapped in the Caves of Reflections, a place she'd never wanted to return to.

Three. Somehow, Sebastian Morgenstern was alive.

Four. What the hell had happened to Nyx?

She couldn't believe it. Here she was, in some form of replacement body. She could touch. She could feel. She could hold. She could... Not stand, because of her stupid injured leg.
It didn't even hurt, which potentially could be worse than if it did, especially since she couldn't feel a thing from the hip down.
That could suggest many things, but the thought that kept returning to Maddie was 'nerve damage', which could potentially be permanent.

Not thinking about that.

Also not thinking about if, assuming this was one hundred percent true and not some other part of the hell torture, which she wasn't a hundred percent sold on, the fact was she could... Technically... Return home. To her family. To her children. To her baby.

Not so much a baby now. More of a toddler... But she was not thinking about that either.

And she was not welling up at the thought of getting to hold her baby. Really hold her baby. No, just to see her with her own eyes...
Not thinking about that.

She was not thinking about the walls of this place, made of nothing but broken rock, ready collapse down on her and once again take everything that made her her from this plane, like​ they
had first time...
Not thinking about that.

Not thinking about any off it.... She couldn't risk the fear... Not here, not now...

She was thinking about everything.
