Evelyn slipped away from the beautiful scene of the reunited family, glancing back at the scene of the group of teens clustered closely around Rachel's bed, the irrevocable bond of love like a glow around the family.

Turning away, she walked down the pale-lit, plastic-hung hallway, past door after door which behind lay strange and mysterious items gathered and discovered at various times in her past.

Reaching a closed door no more distinct than the others, she unlocked it and slowly pushed it open.

A thin beam of pale light bled into the darkened room, laying in a glowing strip across the floor, widening as the door opened.

The stream of light curved, travelling up the metal table leg, to lay across the shape on the table top.

A pair of angry eyes reflected back the light.

"You're so going to regret this when I get out of here..."
