Evelyn glared at the figure of the short haired girl cresting the ridge with Travis slung effortlessly over her shoulder.

The girl grinned. "Hullo, Mater. One day, you'll have to tell me what inspired you to choose that for a pseudonym."

Evelyn raised an eyebrow. "I'm just surprised you know what a pseudonym is. But that's not important. Why are you here?"

The girl chuckled, depositing Travis on the ground at Evelyn's feet.
"Delivering a fixed up faery boy. He's quite cute, by the way. And, I come bearing bolt cutters and a crow bar. So, everything's good, let's fix your little problem, then we can get on with mine."

Evelyn eyed the crow bar sceptically. "You don't use to harass people who dare step into your forest, do you?" She said, mockingly. Then she seemed to realised the possibility of what she'd said. "You don't, do you?"

The girl gave her a look. "I'm not a total savage, you know. Just because I live... Alternatively."

Evelyn scoffed. "Alternatively. That's a word for it. So, Emilia, what are you doing here? No, don't stop, you can tell me whilst you're... Forcing the gate open."

Emilia grinned, taking the bolt cutters to the thick metal chain wrapped around the gates.
"Visiting family." She purred innocently.

"Visiting famil... Oh, no, Emilia, you can't. She left you alone. She left you the pack. You...won... Whatever imaginary competition you have with your sister. It's done. She wants no part of it."

"She stole from me." Emilia grunted against the chain, which snapped with a loud clang!

"Ta da! Gate open. Now I'll stay here with faery boy, whilst you... Do whatever you have to. The place stinks of demons, but I guess you probably knew that."

Evelyn looked at the barely conscious Travis. "Emilia, just leave. Go back to Canada. Or wherever you've set up shop now. Leave Selene alone."

"She seduced a pack member into leaving. That makes her a threat to me."

"No, that makes your pack rules prehistoric. Owen left on his own."

So what do you think? Do talk to me!
