Candace and Wesley's mother turned out to be a very blonde baby faced woman in a hot pink silk blouse and tight black trousers, who swept them up into her arms the moment she saw them.
"Candace! Wesley! Where the hell were you? I've been looking all over for you!"

"Mummy, can we make pizzas?" Wesley asked, ignoring the question.

"Don't change the subject, Wesley. It was very naughty of you to disappear off like that. Rigsy, your mother's in a right tizzy. Go settle her mind."

She turned to Travis. "I don't approve of them catching lifts with strangers, but thank you for bringing them home. I honestly had no idea where they were."

"Well, if it makes you feel better, Evelyn... Lady Mater... She gave me permission to drop them off." Travis answered, looking agitated. He really didn't want to be hanging around too long, not now he'd done the important part.

The woman's face shifted to one of great concern. "Oh my goodness, Evelyn? Is she okay? Last we saw she was practically a prisoner... She got us out in time, but couldn't come with us... Oh my, is she okay?"

"I think she's pretty okay. The mansions not safe, but she's free."

The woman's face changed to an expression of relief. "Oh, good. She's done so much for us, I couldn't bear it if she were harmed.
Is she coming here? Our... Community would really appreciate her presence again. Nobody's got any idea what to do next! Everyone's in a panic, the Beaumont's have fallen out with everyone again, and Mags is just stirring up trouble... And you have no idea who these people are.
I'm sorry. I'm just flustered. Sheila says I talk ten to a dozen when I'm in a flap!
And there I go again!
Sorry, I'll let you be on your way.
Thanks again for returning them."

Travis smiled. "No problem. Just... Maybe keep them away from the mansion for a while, yeah?"

The woman's face fell. "Oh for crying out loud!" She exclaimed, rounding on the children. "I've told you a million times... Billy, was this your idea? Your mother's not going to be happy when she hears!
You all know better, all of you! I cannot believe..."

Travis walked away from the group, back to the car, deciding it was best not to hang around.

Any ideas for a name for Wesley's mum?
Although it'll probably not be necessary until the next book.
