As soon as she'd gotten Nyx settled, Alysha turned to the rest of them. "Just so you are fully aware, I don't really give a damn about any of you. The only way you'll have any semblance of significance to me is if you piss me off, which I can guarantee you don't want to do.
So do us all a favour, and leave each other alone. I'm not gonna deal with any childish death-matches you lot decide to create."

"Yeah, because death-matches are generally child's play." Muttered Luci.

Alysha tilted her head to the side to look at Luci, giving her a very unimpressed look that said it all.

Smirking, Luci mimed zipping her lips, locking them and throwing away the key.

Maddie, on the other​ hand, decided to be very vocal.
"What's going on? I need to know, right now! Explain everything! Why's he here? Why do you look like Nyx but are totally different? Why the hell are we here? What the fuck is going on?!"
She machine-gunned questions at speed, voice getting more and more high pitched and panicky.

Alysha pinched the bridge of her nose, closing her eyes despairingly. "For the last time, I don't care."

"Maddie." Nyx croaked from where she was sat behind Alysha. "I'll tell you everything. Just... I'll do it in a bit, okay?. I just..." She​ trailed off, breathing heavily, looking very green.

Maddie nodded, subdued and not really sure what to do with herself, now she'd been essentially promised what she wanted.
She settled back against the rock, eyes watching everyone suspiciously.

Everyone was silent, the lack of sound cloying to the senses.

A while later, Nyx awoke from a sleep she didn't realise she'd fallen into, her head against the rock.
Her hair clung moistly to the stone, sticking to her face as she sat up.

She yawned, stretching her arms wide, and then caught Maddie's eye.

"I guess I have to explain now, right?"

Wow, this is late.

I'm sorry, I got held up fighting pirates at a nearby beach.

No kidding. It was a massive pirate themed waterfight, with over 100 people.

So you can see why I was delayed.

Might also be late tomorrow, as well. They're having some kind of pirate themed fete.
