It's Time

“Come on baby. Hold it in! We are almost there,” Harry was yelling at you, as you waddled into the hospital. Your water had broke, while Harry was in the middle of rehearsal and he had rushed home to take you to the hospital.

You could hear Harry breathing heavy, sounding more nervous and stressed than you were, and you were the one about to give birth. “It’s going to be okay, Harry,” you panting, trying to remember your breathing exercises, while soothing Harry.

“I’m going to be a dad,” he panicked, squeezing your hand tighter guiding you to the wheelchair the hospital provided.

You thought Harry would be okay, once you reached the hospital room, but that wasn’t the case. As soon as you reached the room, Harry panicked. “I can’t do this! I can’t do this,” he said, pacing around the room. It took all your strength not to get up and smack some sense into that boy. He needed to get it together. He wasn’t in excruciating pain, you were.

“Harry,” you called, holding your hand out for him to come to you. He came obediently.

“Yeah baby,” he replied, concern filling his eyes.

You reached out grabbing his collar harshly. “If you don’t calm the fuck down and get your shit together,” you snapped, shaking him as best you could. “So help me I will, slap the living daylights out of you. I need you to be strong, Harry. Can you do that?”

He nodded, and after your outburst he was okay. Soon it was time to push. You got ready to push and after a few good pushes, your new daughter Darcy was brought into the world.

“She’s so beautiful,” Harry whispered, gently tracing the side of her curly hair. “Just like her mother.” 

You smiled, cuddling the baby closer. “She is,” you replied. “She’s gonna have a great father.”

“I love you,” Harry smiled, leaning down and kissing you. “I love you and Darcy.”

“I love you too, Harry.”
