After leaving and walking away from the reporter; I finally catch up with Sawyer. His legs are longer, and every time he takes a step I have to jog a little to catch up. My eyes stay on Sawyers face. I can't figure anything out with him. His constant scowl is always on full display, blocking me from any sign of what he might be actually feeling.

"Hungry?" Sawyer says without turning to me. I'm a little hungry but my plan today didn't involve hanging out with Sawyer. He turns to me when I don't answer. "What do you want to eat?" He asks one more time, this time annoyed.

"Umm, anything?" I question. He snorts at my remark. He grabs my hand and leads me to a hole in the wall restaurant. We take our seats and I look around the place. It's cute, quiet, and empty. It has an Italian family feel to it.

"Sawyer long time no see." An elderly woman walks up to our table with a smile. She hands us our menus. I turn to Sawyer and see him give her a lazy smile. "So what would it be for you two?" She asks with a thick Italian accent. Sawyer orders a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs with a side order of bruschetta. The elderly woman turns to me with a smile and waits for me to order. I feel so under pressure that I quickly ask for what Sawyer got. The woman nods and heads to the kitchen.

"Do you really want to go to college?" Sawyer randomly asks. He watches me intently while playing with the paper from the straw.

"That's my plan. I'm bored doing nothing most of the time. I want to learn how to save lives, sorta like you." I say in one full swing, I feel my cheeks flush red for admitting that to Sawyer. He looks at me and stays quiet for a while. I can tell he's debating something, but what?

"I could maybe help you apply for college. The process of applying can be tedious."

"You? You would help me?" I'm surprised, mostly suspicious. He's been semi civil the whole day. I find it, odd. I know at any moment he'll probably change his mind.

"It's not that big of a deal." He says while rolling his eyes. He seems slightly embarrassed. I find it weird he'd go out of his way to help me. He did save that girls life, but won't help that reporter. It's all a bit confusing.

"Then," I pause and look at him to make sure he isn't joking. "Thank you. I can learn a few things while I'm here." I beam at him. He genuinely smiles back at me.

"You're welcome." He laughs softly. As I'm about to thank him again the food is set on our table.

"Enjoy." The woman says to us.

"How is it?" Sawyer asks, as I slurp the noodles into my mouth. I can't speak, so I give him two thumbs up. It's quiet after that, our hunger evident as we clear our plates. I'm not sure whether to pay for myself or pay for both of us. As I reach into my pocket for the card I have, my phone starts to ring. I look at my phone confused.

"Something wrong?" Sawyer asks.

"No, it's just Parker." I debate answering. Sawyers demeanor changes and I let the phone ring. After my nightmare of Parker and his father, I've been a little frightened of them both. I reach for the card in my pocket and hand it to Sawyer, but he just leans back.

"I have to go." He's looking at his phone, his tone dark. His eyes meet mine with a glare.

"Where?" I ask without thinking. My stomach sinks, feeling like I did something wrong or something is wrong. "Why?" I ask again when he doesn't answer. He doesn't bother looking at me. He quickly gets up from out of his seat and sets a wad of cash on the table. I follow him outside, annoyed. "Why do you always do this?" I sigh.
