"Are you okay?" Carter asks, looking at me for a brief second then turning back to the road. I turn my head to look at him,

"Yea, just tired." I lie to him, I don't want him thinking I'm crazy. I turn back to where shadow man was, and I'm glad it's not there anymore. The buzz fades, but the pounding of a headache begins. Great.

"You need rest. We've been studying all day." He tells me, a small smile forming. I nod at him and rest my head against the window again. Every time I close my eyes I feel dizzy. This is bad, if I pass out Carter won't know what to do.

"Thank you for today and dropping me off." I tell Carter and slowly get out of his car. I'm trying my best to make it seem like I'm not going to fall.

"No problem, see you tomorrow." He says, waving goodbye. I stand there trying to gain my balance and he zooms off. I slowly walk up to the door and open it. Drew and Lisa are sitting on the couch cuddled up together watching tv. They both look up when I enter.

"Hello." I smile and quickly walk to the kitchen to grab some water.

"All day studying, huh?" Drew asks suspiciously. I jump up, not knowing he followed me to the kitchen.

"The longest four hours of my life." I tell him, and down the whole cup of water. He stands there watching me, he seems worried.

"I don't trust him." He says, and I can't decipher his tone of voice. He's trying to act all brotherly on me. I turn around and roll my eyes, while serving myself another cup of water.

"He's nice and all we do is study." I tell him, shrugging.

"You look pale." Drew points out, sighing and changing the subject. I try ignoring the pounding at the back of my head.

"Guess what?" I say, my voice going high pitch and I clear my throat. He sits down at the kitchen table, pulling a chair out for me to sit as well, and I take it.

"What?" He says, waiting for me to continue.

"That's a good guess, but no." I tell him, and he looks at me with a pointed look.

"You have a crush on the kid you study with?" He questions. I give him a dumbfounded look,

"What? No. That's not it." I say with a small laugh, "You and Lisa are invited to have dinner at Sawyers house. Nancy wants us there." I lie to him. I'm sure Lisa wouldn't mind, and I don't want to be there alone by myself with out Drew. He seems to have a calming affect on everyone.

"If she's cooking, then I'm there." He says with a smile. "I'm supposed to make popcorn." He says getting up and pops a bag into the microwave.

"That was easy." I say with a smile.

"Sawyer didn't text me about any dinner, he usually does." Drew thinks out loud. I shrug,

"Maybe he forgot?"

Drew looks over at me and gives me an incredulous look,

"Sawyer forgetting?" He says while laughing, "never." He chuckles to himself.

"Well, I have a test tomorrow. I'm going to head to bed." I tell him, changing the subject.

"Lisa and I will probably be gone by the time you wake up, so good luck." He says, as he pours the popcorn into a bowl.

"Thank you, goodnight." I mutter. The pounding in my head is subsiding, it's just an annoying nagging pain now.

"Night." He says and I head to my room.

I sit on my bed, and take out the book Sawyer gave me. I open it up and all I see are pure drawings. I close the book and look at the title of the book, but it's a blank black cover. I think Sawyer gave me this on accident.
