"Good morning." I say to no one in particular, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I look up and see that I'm the only one in the kitchen. I'm so out of it, I'm now talking to myself, great. I shake my head and go to the fridge, I need my milk and cereal. It's about six in the morning, I stayed up all night, too afraid to fall asleep. I sit on the island stool and rest my head on the counter, what do adults usually drink in the morning? Oh yea, coffee. I need to find an alternative to keep me awake, maybe soda?

I rummage through the fridge only to find organic juices and everything healthy. I turn my head slowly to the coffee machine, okay maybe this once. I make my way over and play with the machine until it finally sounds like it's on. I've seen Sawyer do this a bunch of times, I'm a pro. I grab one of the coffee pods that Sawyer has on the tower rack thing and place it inside. I press the button to start and it warns me that it's heating up.

I stand in place and watch as steam starts forming out of the machine, I panic a little. I keep watching and for a while I think I did it wrong, but I smile when brown liquid pours out. I realize that I haven't put a mug underneath.

"Oh, no." I whisper to myself and search every cabinet for one. I try pushing all the buttons for it to shut off, but nothing seems to work. I grab a random bowl and place it underneath. I sigh in relief, and grab paper towels to clean up the spilled coffee. I try the black coffee and gag at the taste, how can Sawyer drink it like this? I pour milk into mine and stumble across creamer.

I pour a little creamer and still taste the coffee taste, so I pour a little more creamer. I taste it again, still a little bitter, but sweeter. I look at the creamer carton and notice I poured half of the creamer into the bowl, oops. I taste it one last time, the coffee isn't hot anymore, but refrigerator cold and really sweet, this will definitely keep me up.

I quickly down my cereal and head to the living room, and lie on the couch with a book in hand. I feel myself dozing off to sleep and let myself.

"Mija, good morning." I open my eyes and feel Nancy shaking my shoulders, a bright smile on her face. I yawn feeling more tired than before. "I made breakfast." She says, before walking away. My eyes light up to what she just said and I head to the kitchen. I grab myself a plate and enjoy a bean and cheese burrito. I look at the time it's eight thirty.

"Will you be staying with us from now on?" Nancy asks.

Sawyer groggily walks into the kitchen and I watch as he tries looking for a mug. He's shirtless, his dark black jeans hang low on his hips, and all of his dark tattoos are on full display. I'm inattentive to what Nancy has to say. I spy his new tattoo on his bare arm, seems like he's going to start getting an arm sleeve on the other arm.

Sawyer turns to me, noticing I haven't answered Nancy's question.

"It's odd that you don't even have to open your mouth to make my head hurt." He croaks, sleep still evident in his voice. I sweetly smile at him and roll my eyes and turn to Nancy.

"No, never, not in a million years." I tell her as nice as possible.

"Good choice." She says with a chuckle. Sawyer glares at her, "Calmase, calm down." She says, still laughing at her own sassyness.

She turns to me and walks to me,

"As for you, I'll miss cooking for you. You're the only one who appreciates my food." She hugs me and leaves the kitchen. For a moment there I thought she was going to scold me. Sawyer is mid drink when we both make eye contact, he's leaning against the counter.
