All morning I've noticed that Sawyers mood was getting sour and is getting worse. I watch him from the living room pacing back and forth, he's talking on the phone angrily in the kitchen. I still have no idea what he's talking about or even what language. Every once in a while his voice rises and then it goes quiet.

All I know is, if he doesn't end that call I'm going to be late for my first day of school. I impatiently sigh out loud and I see Sawyer stop pacing, he glances at the door and he has a full on scowl. I'm not sure if that's directed to me or the person he's talking to. Either way, he's clearly agitated. I get up and walk to the door and his eyes meet mine. I stretch my arm out and point at my wrist, mouthing hurry up. He briefly nods and turns his back to me. I head to the front door, and I hear him grab his keys.

Sawyer angrily climbs into the car; he's still talking on the phone and he turns to me warning me to stay quiet.

That's exactly what I do. I take out my phone pretending to play a game, but I'm actually writing down and trying to spell out what he's saying.

"Tak." Sawyer says curtly. ("Yes" in polish) I try typing each word he says as fast and as thoroughly as possible. I hear him 'mmhm' a couple of times and I watch as his face hardens. "Dlaczego nie?" He snaps. ("Why not?" In polish) His fists tighten around the steering wheel. "Odbiorę to w piątek." He says with finality. He angrily hangs up and doesn't speak after that. ("I'll pick it up Friday." In polish) I try spelling out what he's saying, so I can find out what language he's speaking and hopefully figure out what he's up to.

Sawyer looks for parking and I've never seen so many people trying to find a spot. The whole parking garage is filled except the top floor. I feel my stomach sink, feeling all of a sudden nervous; and I feel like hiding from everyone. I get out of the car and say a quick bye to Sawyer and start walking to the stairs leading down to campus.

"Where the hell are you going?" Sawyer asks. I turn around and see him walk toward me. Ugh, why is he getting off?

"I can figure everything out on my own." I tell him, walking further away from him. Sawyer ignores me and I hear his foot steps close behind Me.

At least I think I can figure school out. People seem friendly? I'm hoping. I make my way toward the office building, to get my classes, they didn't email me anything. There are so many students just as lost as I am.

"Hey?" Someone taps me on the shoulder. It's a guy I've never seen before. He's wearing a hat and holding a skateboard.

"Yeah?" I question, wanting him to continue. He shows me his class schedule and puts it really close to my face.

"Do you know where I can find this class? I've been walking all around campus and well.." he cuts himself short, getting shy. I feel Sawyer come next to me and grab the paper out of the guys hand. The guy looks intimidated and steps away from me. I grab the paper out of Sawyers hand giving it back to the guy. "Do you know where it is?" He timidly asks again.

"It's behind you kid." Sawyer says bluntly, pointing behind the guy. The guy turns and sees the class he's supposed to be in and sheepishly smiles.

"Thanks." The guy salutes with his two fingers and skates his way there.

"Do you always make everyone around you feel humiliated?" I question, rolling my eyes. I walk away from him heading to the main office.

"I'm here for my schedule." I ask the woman at the front desk.

"Name." She says.

"Ma...Keren Anderson." I tell her, stuttering my words.

"Here you go." She hands me the class list. Before I can grab the list, Sawyer already has it in his hands.
