We've been driving for a couple of hours, the car ride silent. Sawyer fell asleep in the front seat and Evan is concentrating on driving. Me? My mind is racing. All my memories flooding back in, not a very easy transition. My head is throbbing.

I try closing my eyes for a few seconds and open them when I feel someone staring. Sawyers looking right at me, his intense stare making my cheeks flush. I raise a questioning eyebrow and his eyes travel from my lips to my eyes and he softly smiles.

He's just trying to get on my good side since I remember everything. I turn my head away from him, not smiling. I catch his permanent scowl returning and I hide a smile.

"Where are you taking me?" I question and Sawyer snaps his head to look at me. I don't see the expression on his face, as my focus is on the secluded area we are driving through.

"A safe house." He lowly says and I nod, not sure if his attention is still on me.

"Ezra is there right?" I question further. He's my son and he comes first. I think I'm scared of the answer, not knowing if he's safe or not.

"Leighas..." Sawyer corrects me and I roll my eyes.

"I know my own sons name." I snap before he can continue answering my question.

"Yes. He should be there." He says nonchalantly.  He used the word 'should' to freak me out, get under my skin.

"Evan, can I drive?" I ask, averting my attention away from Sawyer, ignoring his sentence.

"Sure." He says, not looking at Sawyer.

"I'm tired of looking at the back of Sawyers head." I mutter and Sawyer turns, hearing exactly what I said.

Evan pulls over and I get into the driver seat,

"Thank you....can you sit next to me? It will be easier if you can give me directions." I ask Evan loud enough for Sawyer to clearly hear.

Sawyer grabs me by the arm and I turn to look at him, he's smiling a devilish smile, his face a few centimeters away from mine.

I gasp, surprised he's this close,

"You're doing it again." He points out and I feign innocence.

"Doing what?" I question, and he quirks his eyebrows up and shakes his head and jumps to the back.

I know exactly what I'm doing, I'm being petty. I watch him through the rear view mirror and he catches me staring and smirks, giving me the 'you know I know what you're doing' look and I scowl at him.

Evan jumps into the passenger side and he feels the tension between us, as he looks back and forth between Sawyer and I.

"Okay, I was gone for zero point five seconds, what argument did I miss this time?" He questions and I answer by taking off full speed.

I've been driving for a little over an hour now, Evan is asleep, Sawyer taking over the driving directions.

I jump startled when I feel Sawyers breath right by my ear.

"Done ignoring me?" Sawyer whispers in a low voice; it's husky, and seductive. I shrug my shoulder and try to shoo him away. The hairs on my arms rise and goosebumps form. I refrain from shuttering, but Sawyer knows what he's doing.

"Do I exit here?" I ask, changing the subject. My voice comes out shaky but I clear my throat. When Sawyer doesn't answer I take that as a no. "Are you going to tell me if we are going to exit anytime soon?" I question further.

When he doesn't answer I sigh out.

"Fine, I'm sorry." I grunt out and I feel him lean in behind me.
