I wake up in a familiar room, the first room I ever stayed in. Everything that happened before I passed out immediately starts to flood my memory. I don't think I'm ready to confront anyone. My head is spinning, and I feel like I have a bruise. I stir in bed, trying to find a comfortable spot. I know that any second someone will come into the room and check up on me. I hear someone clear their throat, and I turn my head towards the noise. My heart beat starts to pick up, but calms as soon as I feel a sharp pain in my head.

"Here, some water." Sawyer whispers to me, handing me the glass of water.

"What time is it?" I couldn't have been knocked out for that long? Right?

"Almost lunch time." He says, texting on his phone.

"What did Drew tell you?" Sawyer tries prying the answer out of me again.

"This was your plan all along wasn't it? To somehow hurt me?" I meet his eyes and he looks away quickly.

"To hurt you?" He sounds incredulous. "Out of every possibility, you come up with the most stupid ideas."

"You take Drew away from me, you're awful to me, and now you somehow brainwashed Drew into telling me lies." I croak, my voice dry.

"Look, I thought it was a good idea to help you reconnect with Drew, but I see now that you don't seem to want to reconnect."

"Why would you care what I want? You're so cruel." As soon as I finish that sentence, he brings his green eyes back to mine. I watch, waiting for an answer, one I know won't be answered.

"Why wouldn't I care?" He counters.

"The answer I want is why would you" I whisper. He runs his hands over his hair frustrated. He looks at me one last time, and he watches as my eyes plead for an answer. I sigh and walk towards the large window, ignoring Sawyer. Or at least trying to ignore Sawyers presence, but it's turning to be difficult. I can feel anger radiating off of him.

"Why aren't you asking the usual stupid questions?" He asks after a long moment of silence. I don't bother turning around, my eyes locked on the woods.

"Because for some unknown reason, you never answer my questions. Or you lie." I continue to whisper, hoping to keep Sawyers voice at a low level.

"What the hell do you want to know?" He growls. Up until now Sawyer has been quiet. I don't want anyone knowing I'm awake.

"Why are you in here? Where is Evan?" I cross my arms over my chest. I hear him sigh in irritation.

"Another fucking stupid question." He rolls his eyes. I try one more time, figuring out a good question.

"What do you do for a living?" I ask, he rolls his eyes again. I perk up when I see him contemplating to answer. But his damn phone always seems to interrupt. He walks out and takes the call.

Sawyer walks back into the room a few moments later, his face filled with worry. I'm curious, but I now know curiosity gets me nowhere with Sawyer. No matter how much I try to pry, I end up running into a brick wall.

"What's wrong?" I still ask.

"Nothing Opal." He snaps. I flinch from his sudden anger, but walk closer. I'm not afraid of you Sawyer.

"Who called?" I ask, pushing my luck.

"No one." He says curtly. I roll my eyes.

"Just as you can tell that I'm lying; I can tell that you're lying." I poke his chest. He lowers his gaze, and his hard eyes stare at mine. He doesn't say anything, his facial expression giving me the confidence to know I'm right. I'm annoyed that he left the room, while I was about to receive important information.
