Everything after the kiss was a blur. I remember looking at Sawyer and the way he smiled after I softly pushed him away. The way his green eyes darted all around my face as if he were trying to memorize a map.

But that smile isn't mine, and the kiss isn't mine. Hell, Sawyer isn't even mine.

All my senses came rushing back in and at that moment I had to get as far away from Sawyer as possible.

I'm glad he didn't end up follow me, after my expression turned from peaceful bliss to horrified. I pushed him away from me hard, jumping off the tree and made a run for it.

I called Olivia and she rushed to pick me up and now I'm currently sitting on Carters bed. It's been thirty minutes since the run away.

I try distracting myself, and look around his room. His room is more boyish than I thought. Posters of famous athletes, trophies and medals on shelves, a small drawer and a twin sized bed.

"Tell me how it happened again?" Carter asks, shaking my shoulder and I zone in back on him.

"What?" I ask, still a little dazed.

"The animal attack? How did it happen? Where were you? And why are you out so late?" Carter questions, not hiding how concerned he is.

"I needed air, so I walked around a park and I heard some growling. And I just remember running." I tell them, lying straight to their faces. They can't know I kissed Sawyer. Ever.

"You should have called me." Carter says, giving me a stern look and I shrug.

"I think I'm fine. Just a little shaken up." I tell him, breathing out heavily.

Why am I acting like this? It's not like it was our first kiss or anything.

"You can stay here or tell me when you're ready , I can drop you back home." He says and I nod still not knowing what to do.

I don't want to see Sawyer. He has me all confused and I hate it. He only kissed me because his wife is cheating on him. And he lives for revenge and this was his way of getting back at her.

"Thank you, can you drop me off at my brothers."

"Uh, sure?" He says, with a questioning look. I get up off the bed and follow after him. He grabs his car keys from a side table by his front door and we head out.

"I don't remember you ever mentioning you had a brother?" Carter curiously asks and my eyes widen.

I don't remember if he's met or known about him.

"Really?" I ask. "He lives close to you guys." I say and he nods.

We get into the car and Olivia jumps right into the car with a big smile. Carter and I both look at her weird.

"What? I'm not missing out on a chance to meet her family." She says and buckles her seat belt.

I give them the directions and we get there in no time. I hoped they wouldn't get out of the car, but they do.

The house looks dark and I knock on the door.

"I don't think anyone is home." Olivia quietly chimes in after I knock three more times.

I walk around her house to the side window room I used to stay in and peek inside. It's empty.

I feel Carter next to me and take a look inside as well.

"Are you sure someone lives here?" He asks, confused.

Yes, they live here. Why is this room empty? Are all the rooms empty.
