I quickly wipe my tears away and turn around to see him by the door.

I hear his footsteps as he walks closer. I feel his warmth first as he sits down cross legged next to me.

I don't look at him, if I do I know I will break down.

"What are you doing here?" I ask, I don't feel like talking to anyone.

"This is my favorite spot." Sawyer smirks and I roll my eyes. I can't tell if he's being disgusting or if this is his actual favorite spot.

"You ran off really quick..." Sawyer points out and I don't reply.

"Why?" He questions curiously and I still don't reply. He's getting a taste of his own medicine.

"Are you okay?" He asks, trying a new question.

I almost want to laugh at that... Am I okay? HA

I breath out...

"You take me camping, against my will. You almost died today. I was at gunpoint. And you're asking if I'm okay?" I snap. He doesn't seem surprised by my outburst and just watches my every move.

"You're handling this better than I thought." He says with a shrug and I really just want to slap him.

I feel tears slip out.

He gets up and walks to the wall and looks over it,

"It's beautiful isn't it?" He says admiring whatever he's looking at.

"What is?" I ask. I get up from off the ground, leaving the blanket and wipe my tears.

"The night sky, the city." He says and when I'm finally next to him, I understand what he's saying.

It's slightly foggy and the city lights are illuminating through the mist.

"It's about to rain." Sawyer points out, but I ignore him.

"That's what makes it even more beautiful." I whisper and stare out into the city and watch the night sky. Everything about how it looks before it rains, the misty air, the chilly wind. The sweet smell of the air before it rains, it's all so beautiful.

"It reminds me of you." Sawyer says.

"What does?" I ask, confused.

"The night sky." He says looking up.

"How?" I ask, rolling my eyes and paying attention to the lights going on and off in the city ahead.

"Well," He says and finally looks back down at me. "All I see when I look at you, your eyes, is you're lost." He says and he deeply searches my eyes.

I look away, he's not making any sense.

"Look up." Sawyer whispers and I do just that. All I see is the vast inky night. A few shining stars that I'm sure are satellites or air planes. "For a moment I feel lost, I get lost in the night sky and I understand what and how  you feel." He says and I look up at him.

I'm speechless, is he actually trying to understand what I'm going through. This kid knows empathy? I scrunch my eyebrows,

"The difference is you can easily come back to reality and be found. For me, I'm, I'm just lost..." I whisper, but the last word is barley audible. I can't keep myself from crying and I sniffle.

Sawyer smiles to himself and he leans in close and I can see the small specks of blue in his eyes,

"I found you." He whispers, I can't handle how serious he's being.
