It's been a week since I last seen the Pierce brothers and my life since then has been peaceful. I quit the job Evan gave me, but he still insists I keep the credit card and still fills it with money. I don't use any of it; I got a job working late nights at Lisa's cafe. I haven't dealt with any run in with the cops, shadow men, or intense dreams. I still have them, just I wake up on time.

Right now I'm waiting for Drew and Lisa to leave for work, they think I sleep in all day from working so late. But when they're gone I go to school, the only place I can find any sort of useful information. So far, I've come up with nothing, but I'm close, I feel it.

"Don't wake her up. She's had a long night." I hear Lisa whisper by the door. Drew sighs and I hear the click of the door lock.

I've been in my own bubble lately, haven't been talking or eating much. Just lost and lonely, I feel like I can't confide in Drew or Lisa. I somehow feel they're part of Sawyers group and I want nothing to do with them.

I sit up in bed when I finally know I'm alone, and head for the shower. When I'm done with the peaceful hot shower, I head to the kitchen to make myself breakfast. The one thing I do miss is Nancy, and her small pep talks and yummy food. I bite the piece of toast, not at all hungry and head for the bus stop.

I've learned to get around using the bus, they're almost always empty and I get where I need to get, so that's good.

"Finally, I've been freezing my butt off waiting for you." Ami says, she enrolled in some of the classes I got, which I welcomed. She has been waiting everyday for me in the front of the school.

"Sorry, the bus broke down." I tell her.

"Oh." Is all she says. We start walking to class, but we're thirty minutes early. "Why haven't you been answering my texts?" She asks. I look at her, of course she forgot.

"I turned off that phone and don't need it." I remind her. She rolls her eyes and goes back to looking at her phone.

"I don't know why I signed up for these classes, they're so boring." She complains, as we find seats.

"Why did you enroll?" I ask.

"Felt like it." She shrugs, not looking at me, but for someone. "Now I regret it." Her attention lands back on me. I still find it strange she all of a sudden wanted to come to school, she has a nice job. I guess she wants a better future?

Class starts and the professor goes on about the history of writing. I zone out, although it seems interesting. I've been feeling uneasy the past few days, like I'm being watched. I stare out the window, not bothering to fight myself to pay attention.

"What did I miss?" Carter quickly sits in the seat beside mine. I jump, startled by his sudden appearance. He looks at me, waiting for an answer.

"You missed half the class." Ami answers for me. I know she's been crushing on Carter, but Carter has been giving her the cold shoulder and I'm not sure why.

"When did she enroll in this class?" He whispers to me. I give him a flat look,

"A couple of days ago. Be nice." I scold.

"I can't, she's so loud and obnoxious." He says, and I want to laugh, he just described his sister. I put my hands up in surrender. He seemed like he was into her the last time she ran into us.

When the professor gives us a break, I head to the library. I, from the help of sneaky Carter, got a key to go to the basement of the library, where they have every piece of information. I just have to sneak down there. I don't know what to expect, but I'm ready.
