I shoved the car into drive, hearing the tires peel out as I sped out of the driveway, flying down the road as fast as I could.

I scanned the road for the car once more, remembering that it was a gray SUV. The New Jersey licence put me at ease, making me think I could find them faster.

I continued down the road, turning onto Main Street in the middle of the town. I felt panic creep up on me, knowing I had spent too long in the house. They could be on a plane by now.

I sped up, chewing on my lip and feeling the urge to punch something. Or someone.

Main Street was pretty crowded due to rush hour, so I took a right onto the nearby freeway, seeing how he would find it easy to get away faster on a faster road.

I searched the entire road, speeding up and slowing down as needed. After three minutes, I shook my head, taking in a shaky breath.

I'm not going to find her, my mind screamed at me. I gritted my teeth, thinking of everything I could do. Instinct took over, and I said a silent prayer in my head, asking for her well being and for me to find her.

I looked up, aware that I was well over the speed limit, but not caring. My eyes caught a gray SUV, and I nearly jumped out of my seat, but looked at the licence plate. I saw that it said New York and sighed.

Scanning the road once more before I gave up and went to the police, I saw another car matching the description travelling the opposite way on the freeway. I couldn't see the licence plate from the distance I was at, but I saw the guy, Liam, driving the car. My heart stopped, but before I could even blink, I kicked out the tail of my car, causing it to drift into the opposite direction on my mostly empty side of the freeway. The flow of traffic was on his side.

I crossed over the ditch in between stretches of road, keeping my eyes on the prize. She was the only prize I wanted to win. I didn't deserve Stacia, but I would fight for her, that's certain.

I sped up to the car, feeling my control over the car diminish at the high speed. My mind searched for things I could do, spinning at record speeds.

I needed her to be safe.

Time seemed to slow as I watched the back seat, seeing her duct taped mouth try to scream for help. I sat up straighter, calling her name.

Whipping out my phone, I called 911, telling them where I was and to get there fast. I explained most of what had happened to the dispatcher, and they gave me good luck as if they knew what I was about to do.

"There's been a car accident," I said, ending the call. I made sure my seat belt worked, and I sped up until I was right behind the car. I saw Liam's eyes meet mine in his rear view mirror, and he grimaced, slowing down. Since I was right behind him, the car's rear end came smashing into my front, but that was exactly what I wanted.

Our cars came to a halt, and I threw open the door, walking up to his smoking vehicle. He approached me as well with a look of rage on his face. I heard the police sirens and smiled.

He only continued towards me, and some people had stopped to call an ambulance.

Before he could open his idiotic mouth, I punched him square in the jaw. He recoiled at my force, stumbling back against the damaged car.

A police car skidded to a halt in front of the scene, and Liam charged at me like a wild bull. I rose my arms to defend myself, but the policemen disarmed him, pulling his wrists into cuffs. He struggled against them, yelling at me.

"You'll pay for this, Horan!" he screamed before being shoved into the police cruiser. I smirked at him, feeling the adrenaline compliment me.

"You'll pay for this in jail," one of the policemen sneered, nodding at me. My thoughts readjusted, and I scrambled to open the door, gently easing Stacia out of the crushed door frame.

"Are you alright?" I asked. She had a bruise on her temple and a few scrapes, but she looked okay. Well, she looked beautiful, but--

She tore the duct tape off of her lips, hissing in pain before responding.

"I'm okay," she smiled, coming close to me for a hug. I breathed her in.

"I will never let you go ever again."
