I discarded the wrap I wore over my swimsuit, breathing in the hot summer air. I stepped into the pool, but it was freezing, so I just went under all at once to get used to it. I shivered when I came back up for air, muttering to myself that it was too cold.

My friend was laying on a lounge chair trying to tan, but she always burnt. I was more careful, applying sunscreen before I even step outside.

So I continued to swim through the large pool; it had a 12 foot deep end, two giant slides, and a basketball court in the water. A few lifeguards milled about on the edges of the pool, occasionally blowing their whistle at those stupid kids who tried to dive head first into the kiddie pool.

I swam around for a few minutes, giggling when the water would make bubbles and then slide across my skin. I floated on my back, soaking up the sun and closing my eyes.

I could get used to this, I thought to myself, sighing internally.

I heard the whistle of a lifeguard blow close to me, and thought it might have been that teenager that was nearby.

"Miss!" I heard the lifeguard call. My eyes shot open, and I looked around, trying to see what I did wrong. I stared up at him, and he blocked the blinding sun with his hand to see me better.

"Yes?" I called back, swimming closer to the edge of the pool where he stood. I got a good look at him; he was blonde, wearing sunglasses, and he was shirtless. That was my favorite part.

"You, uh," he stammered, looking for words. I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

"Do I do something wrong, sir?" I said, letting my eyes run over his sandals and red swim trunks.

"Yeah," he answered, crouching down to look at me better. He was leaning forward, so the whistle hung off his neck. I tried to keep my eyes on his and not anywhere else. He pulled his sunglasses up, resting them on his head and revealing very nice blue eyes staring back at me.

"You're too beautiful to be in this pool," he smirked. I was caught off guard, blinking at him. "The only way to not be punished is if you get out and go to dinner with me." His forwardness was attractive, and I blushed immediately, seeing how my bikini was a little revealing.

I backed up from him a little, smiling all the same.

"Yes, sir," I smiled, pulling myself out of the pool.

"It's Niall," he corrected me, smirking again. I blinked in the brightness of the sun. I found some of the courage that he had in myself, taking the sunglasses nestled in his bright, blonde hair and putting them on.

"It's Isabel, not miss," I countered, cocking a hip and flipping my hair before turning and strutting away. I chuckled to myself, but I heard him laughing loudly behind me.

"Horan! Back to work!" I heard someone demand. I looked back to watch him straighten up instantly.

"Yes, sir," he choked out, sending a wink in my direction.
