Ex (Request) (Part One)

"Okay," I breathed out, smiling shortly. He smiled back, pulling me in for a hug.

"I'll see you tomorrow morning at the river," he nodded, making me get excited.

"Can't wait," I grinned, watching him turn and open the door. He stepped out, coming face-to-face with Niall.

"Hey, Niall," William said, smiling and walking off.

Niall looked back to me, stepping inside.

"What is he doing here?" he wondered, making me giggle.

"We're getting back together," I smiled, hoping it would work. I was only getting together with William to make Niall jealous because I liked him. A lot.

"What?" he exhaled, making my stomach flip with anticipation.

"I guess I liked him after all," I shrugged, trying to hide my huge grin.

"After all he did to you? After he cheated on you?" I sighed, standing up and walking over to him.

"I believe in second chances," I spoke quietly, remembering how I had asked Niall out in eighth grade.

"So do I," he said, sounding determined. I furrowed my eyebrows, watching him throw open the door and disappear down the driveway, sprinting at full speed and leaving his car behind.

I shrugged it off, hoping he wasn't too mad.

I watched a movie after that, falling asleep halfway through.

Jolted awake, I saw Niall burst through the door, locking his eyes onto me.

"Mia," he breathed out as I rubbed my eyes of sleep and drowse.

"Hey," I yawned. He sat down next to me, and I blinked at him.

"I need to tell you something," he smiled, nodding to himself.

"Okay." He inhaled slowly, pulling the words from the air and into his brain.

It took him a few seconds, but he finally looked back into my eyes as he began to speak.

"I like you. A lot."
