Washing clothes that they had previously worn, the governor was doing his morning chores while the little blonde, Megan, was looking over the game board of chess. He ringed out the water of his shirt while looking over her with his right eye. "Your move, pumpkin." He told her while she kept her eyes over the board.

"I'm thinking." She told him while a flashback appeared in the governors mind. How he even got in this place.

Dead walkers littered the hole while he held Megan close to his chest, panting. Martinez looked over the man from the top of the hole and looked to his partner. "Mitch, grab that." He told the man while handing him his gun.

The two women looked over the group as the governor helped Megan out first and her mother took her in. With that, a rope was handed down and he looked over it. "You can't think forever. Sooner or later, you've got to make a move." The governor stayed while the girl sighed.

"You never let me win anyway." She told him, closing her eyes for a moment.

"Well, that wouldn't be winning. That's what my daddy used to say. He used to beat me at chess, too. Heck, he used to beat me at everything." He stated and then back towards his thought, he grabbed at the rope and climbed up.

He reached the man while Martinez looked at him. "You know this guy?"  Mitch asked and the Hispanic looked over him.

"Was your dad mean?" Megan asked.

"Sometimes." He told her truthfully.

"Were you bad?" She asked him, letting her curiosity coming out.

"Sometimes." He repeated.

To the flashback, Martinez looked to him. "So you've been on the road all this time?" He asked him.

The man swallowed his pride. "Yeah." He whispered.

"You okay, Brian?" Lily asked while Martinez looked to her.

Megan started making a face and she sighed. "What is it, pumpkin?" He asked her.

"Am I bad?" She asked him softly.

"What? Hey. Why would you think that?" He asked her while kneeling down to her level.

"My dad was always mean to me." Megan told him while looking back at the game.
