PAST
Beth's eyes were glued shut, a familiar pain was aching across her foot and cheek. As she opened her eyes to see a clock ticking down on the wall, she sat up and looked over the area to find Tilly curled in a pillow, cuts covering her legs from scavenging, and Benny who looked to Beth and held a finger to his mouth as he was about trying to grab a syringe that was over a table.

Beth pulled her IV bag over towards her as she looked over the large window, seeing the streets were bare and she furrowed her eyebrows as Tilly was moaning in discomfort.

Benny grabbed the syringe, placing it in his back pocket and started banging on the door along with Beth. "Hey! Hello! Hey!" She kept yelling, trying to get the door unlocked.

She backed away while Benny looked over the door in frustration. "How the hell did this happen? All I remember is driving and..." his mind went blank of any further memory and Beth pulled out her IV needle and used it as a weapon.

A woman in police gear and a man in doctor's robes came inside. "Everything's okay. Okay?" The doctor told her while raising his hands.

"Put it down. Drop it right now." The woman stated, and Beth did as she was told, but Benny grabbed the syringe and screamed while aiming for the officer. She reacted faster as she grabbed his hand and fought against him. "We are not trying to hurt you." She muttered while she took the syringe and threw it to a corner o the room.

She placed handcuffs on Benny to his bed while he fought against them. "You can't do this!" He yelled.

"I'm Dr. Steven Edwards. This is officer Dawn Lerner. How are you two feeling?" He asked them.

Benny spat on the floor while Beth looked to Tilly. "Where are we?" She asked.

"Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta." He told her.

"How did we get here?" She asked.

"My officers found you on the side of the road surrounded by rotters." Dawn told her.

"Your wrist was fractured and you sustained a superficial head wound. He has a concussion, and she broke a rib. Can you two remember your names?" He asked them as Benny looked to Tilly sadly.

"Beth. That's Benny and Tilly." She mumbled. "The man we were with, is he here, too?" Beth asked.

"You were alone. If we hadn't saved you, you'd be one of them right now. So you owe us. All of you." She told the whole Beth looked to Benny as they held slight fear in their eyes.

Natalie held her head in her hands while she heard Carol and Daryl talking about what they were going to do to find the kids. The girl just held in her anger as they continued talking and soon when the sun was starting to rise, she felt a hand crawl up her thigh.

"You should get some rest." Daryl told her while she gave him a bored look.

"I don't want to sleep. I can't." She mumbled while pulling slightly at her hair and tying it to make it out of her face.

Daryl looked over her face and saw the dark circles and placed his hand over her cheek and rubbing his thumb over her lips. "When we get them back, we will find a place. I promise you." He told her and she closed her eyes while looking in the rear view mirror to see Carol was asleep.

"Daryl, I miss them." She breathed out and he takes in a deep breath when he saw a tear slip out of her eye and over her cheek.

It was his fault. He told them to run. He told them to drive away. To go to the car. He sighed and pulled the car over while Carol blinked and he just shook his head.

"I'm going to take a piss." He mumbled and got out of the car while Natalie hit her head over her seat and she rubbed her face.

"I'm going after him." She mumbled and Carol nods her head while Natalie opened the door and took to the left as Daryl did.

When she heard grunting and the sound of a a thud against a tree, she looked over to se Daryl punching the plant and she ran to pull his hand away. "Stop! Stop." She told him while looking over his now bleeding knuckles and she looked into his blue eyes. "Why would you do that?" She asked while he teared up and placed his face into her neck.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He kept murmuring into her skin as she wrapped her hand around his neck and played with his hair.

"It's not your fault." She tried to tell him, but he pulled away and started pacing as he pulled at his hair.

"It is my fault! That's what you're not understanding! I was watching them, I was the one watching them! They looked to me everyday to protect them!" Then he started laughing while shaking his head. "You know... I helped all three of them have their first drink." He told her truthfully while Natalie walked closer to him.

"Daryl..."

"I didn't give a shit with what happened to them, because I was worried about you. There you go, I said it. While you work for the kids, I worry about you. You're my number one top priority and I couldn't even protect you, so I was I supposed to protect three teenagers!" He yelled at the sky while Natalie looked to him and placed her hand over his cheek.

"I'm here. I'm right here." She whispered to him and placed her lips over his hungrily while he kissed her back.

Pulling her closer to his body, he grabbed her shirt and pulled it over her head while she groaned and pulled away while fumbling with his belt. "I'm right here." She whispered into his ear while going down to her knees.
