You carefully made yourself known, although you had a feeling they already knew you were around. Even if it was rare to see Sombra in formal wear, you could still guess it was her by the bar and she would have let everyone know. "I do hope you weren't intending to leave before saying hello, Akande."

The Successor eyed you up and down and slowly smiled. At least he was kind enough to pretend that he was surprised to see you. Maximilien waved a hand to call over some guards to carry away the bodies of Vialli's failed coup and Lacroix nodded to you in greeting before turning away and leaving Akande alone with you.

"If I had known you were here with Maximilien, I would have asked to see you." Akande, ever the gentleman offered a hand to help you step over one of the bodies on the floor, but you simply ignored it as you evaded the body to stand in front of him with your shoulders squared.

"You won't be here for long, then—if Vialli's decided to make an idiot of himself so early into your return." You commented airly as your gaze pointedly swept over the crumpled and beaten bodies on the ground. "Still have a firm hand, I see."

You had expected Akande to be just as dismissive in his return commentary, however, you were surprised by a large, warm hand at your cheek, gently turning you to face him. For a split second, your surprise showed though you buried it as quick as you could—not quick enough for Akande not to notice, however.

"Have you not always favoured a firm hand?" His hand moved to cup your cheek, before sliding to hold your chin with his thumb grazing your lips. "Is that not why you've been helping me while working under Maximilien?" His eyes still held that determined fire, like Ares he was always ready for war and conflict and to come out on top of it all.

"I suppose." You drawled, not ever willing to concede to his strength outright. You quickly jerked your chin out of his brazen grip, not liking how much you had missed his touch—the very few times he had touched you before he was caught, anyway. "Though there isn't much to him and those loyal to him. They're all money-hungry little fish."

Akande was quiet as he looked over you once more, picking up on the fact how much your boredom had made your wild fire rage in his absence. Without anyone to guide or temper or challenge your energy, you had become a little more acidic. "Wait for me to return from Venice. There is much work to be done and I will discuss it with you then."

"Mmhm." You hummed as you reached out to pretend to straighten his bowtie, but really you just wanted to step closer to his broad body and 'unintentionally' skim your fingers along the sensitive skin of his neck just above his collar. "Only discussion?" Your wrists were firmly caught by Akande's hands and your lips twisted into a smirk.

"Wait for me." The man repeated his instruction before gently pushing you away and walking off.

Wait for me, he had said. You scoffed like you hadn't been all this time.

He hadn't even given you your 'hello'.
