[Readers POV]
Lately I haven't known how to act around Lena. It's just been kind of, awkward I guess. I managed to keep my feelings for her from  her for the past 6 years, but recently, I've just wanted to tell her how I feel about her.
Unfortunately having these thoughts has made me extremely anxious and embarrassed when I'm around her. Like when we lazily sit on the couch, eating crumpets and watching our show.
She used to be with emily but unfortunately for Lena, Emily had enough of Lena on missions and always wanting to save the world. So emily cheated on Lena well she was out and one day Lena came back early to surprise her and boom emily was caught in the act.
It's been about six months since then, Lena now lives with me. she goes and saves the world, always coming back to me with the biggest grin and massive hugs.
Today was one of those days, Lena was gone and she said she wouldn't be back till New Years. I was okay with this, I mean yeah I was a little upset she wouldn't be here on Christmas but it was okay. She was out there saving the world little by little.
It was Christmas, I did not really think of doing much today, there were present under the tree. Not only just for me but for Lena, I did not want to open mine till Lena has arrived back to me.
I decide I would started to bake some cake, there wasn't any point in me having a huge Christmas dinner so there was enough for two.
With a warm cup of tea, snuggled up in the cozy dark green blanket. The tv blaring with a Christmas movie.
With the movie blaring and my eyes only focused on the tv, I felt at peace.
Before I could even grab my cup of tea a pair of hands landed on my shoulder causing me to scream.
With a giggle in the background.
'Lena' "chill luv its only me, sorry to frighten you so much"
Gasping I looked up towards the female, tackling her to the ground.
'(Y/n)' "lennna your home, I thought you weren't going to be here"
With a warm lasting smile,
'Lena' " can't leave my favourite person to be alone on Christmas... plus mission finished early and I wanted to see you"
Wrapping her arms around me, she placed her face into my neck.
Suddenly, Lena picked us both up from the floor.
'Lena' " actually (y/n) I wanted to tell you something and I have been holding it back for a while."
With those words my heart starting to speed up.
'(Y/n)' " yes Lena, what is it?"
Tilting my head as I said that I waited for what she wanted to tell me.
The blush crawling on Lena face made me wonder the words she was about to say.
'Lena' "actually I won't tell you yet, let's go have fun"
'(Y/n)' " fine let me go get dressed"
Running to my room I grabbed a pair of dark blue jeans, vest top and my stitch Christmas jumper. Chucking them on I tied my hair up into a ponytail.
I walked back to Lena, putting my shoes on and my puffy jacket, we headed out.
Lena grabbed my wrist spinning me out the door. Well I recovered from the spin she locked the door and started to walk outside the building. Still in a little shocked I followed behind. 
As we walked out the door, Lena had stopped me in my tracks.
'Lena' "look (y/n) there is something I need to tell you. I know this might be a shock and you might not believe me but I need to you."
'(Y/n)' "what is it Lena"
My hands began to swear I was afraid, what happens if she was gonna tell me her and Emily had got back together or that she had to leave. My hands began to sweat and my breaths sharpened.
With the top of her lungs Lena yelled.
'Lena' ' I'm in love with you (y/n).. please be my girlfriend?!"
I was shocked. I got my courage together and told her.
'(Y/n)' "Look before you fall in love with me more and wanna be mine, there's a few things you need to know.
I'm a handful, actually more like four handfuls. Sometimes I'll cry and sometimes I'll be so happy I'll laugh. sometimes I wanna puts people away I'm not mentally stable, it's not a straight line; it's a funky wave. But please don't leave me, I need someone to push back because they want to. When I'm sad, there's no lie I'm actually sad. When I'm happy well I'm extremely happy. I have those days were I will going through my brain and pick at all my flaws. Most of the time all I need is a hug from you and for you to tell me you are by my side each step of the way. If you tell me you love me, well I won't always believe you, I am insecure. When I am sad don't walk on eggshells around me, just tell me how you feel be honest. If you are mad at me tell me, if I annoy you don't hold back and tell me, if you are sad don't hold back tell me.
I don't need much, I am not a huge fan of expensive things. Wanna take me to a movie, I won't expect you to buy my ticket or food, I won't ask for you to pay for dinner that will be split. I'm happy with driving in the middle of no where, with a few blankets to look at the stars. I want to be able to play fight with you, cook with you, be comfortable with you, talk about the most randomness things that comes to us. But when it comes down to serious things I want someone who can be there, I want someone who will help me with the bills, cook, clean and even have serious talks. I don't wanna no fool or a game. When I'm down I'm down. I am a ride or die chick, once I'm yours I'm yours no one else can have me. As I said I don't want much, I just want a best friend who I can fall in love with." (Y/n) took a deep breath knowing that was a lot. "Look Lena I know that was a lot but this is what I want and if you"
Lena smiled in awe, walking her way towards me. Her soft lips crashing on to my plump lips.
'Lena' " I am so in love with you, I was so afraid to have you that I chose to let you live your life. Now knowing that I can have you. I want you more then anything. (Y/n) please be mine and only mine"
I felt my eyes water, the liquid leaving my eyes running done my face. Lena wiping the tears from my eyes.
'(Y/n)' " you really want me Lena?"
'Lena' "I have always wanted you, would you like to be my girlfriend?"
'(Y/n)' " yes Lena"
Kissing her lips, I felt Lena smirk into the kiss. Butterflies filled my stomach I finally had the girl of my dreams. No scratch that the woman of my dreams.
Resting my forehead to hers, this felt like heaven, the fire cracking in the background. Snow falling from the outside. Christmas songs and a tree shining us.
'Lena' " hey (y/n), look up"
My head tilted up, there it was to make the night perfect a mistletoe.
Kissing Lena one last time, made my Christmas one of the best days I have ever had.
