"Come on... I won't leave you alone! We should go to prom, Lucio!" hana tells him excitedly and his heart thumped when hana's eyes sparkled in absolute excitement. hana was absolutely unaware that her invite, sent butterflies through Lucio's stomach and he genuinely wished that he could reach out to her.

'Lucio' "Anybody in the school would dance with you, hana. You don't need me by your side."

he laughed, there was a small thump in his chest. It's his own insecurities peeking through but Lucio still knows that he is not lying.

hana was pretty popular in their high school, even if hana could be a tad shy and awkward at times. she was funny and instantly, the belle of the ball, And although it was fun to watch, he didn't feel like being a bystander that night.

'Hana' "Yeah, but it's not the same without you. You're my best friend!"

she pouted and Lucio felt as if his heart broke instantly. he forced a smile and shook his head. he had learned that with the passing of time, he could never say no to hana. Maybe it was her bright smile, or maybe it was the fact that he was absolutely in love with her best friend.

'Lucio' "Okay,I'll go with you but just for a while."
he finally surrenders to her,she wrapped her arms around him. giggles left her mouth as she even plants a kiss to his face. Lucio heart raced and he was sad that under those kisses; there was no romantic undertone. hana was just really into skin ship.
For the next few months, Hana wakes up to prom talk and dress options. Lucio had decided to wear a grey patterned suit, talking about wanting to be the hottest there and Hana agreed to wear a beautiful white dress.
she's thankful that lucio didn't see her giggling in the night, waltzing in her room with the dress and pretending that you two would spend the night dancing. Hana giggles at herself for getting absolutely excited. Because now that the night is here, she can't wait to have fun.

deep in the night a loving slow song starts to play. Hana was dancing with one of the most popular boys in the whole school, laughing and shyly burying her face into his shoulder. Lucio on the other hand had to watch her with sad eyes, oh how you left him in the dark. His stood in the corner all the room, the light shining on his suit giving him a glow, yet he was the only one not dancing. He felt warm tears fill his eyes as he looked up at the decorated ceiling, he didn't want to cry. Not right here.
Looking towards the small girl he couldn't remember when she started liking you. Maybe it was during their sleepovers when the two would cuddle, or when she would cling to him during the roller coasters. All he knew was that he was absolutely hooked on her and couldn't move on. And damn, did it break his hurt more.
He wasn't going to stay here. He wasn't going to stand by the guidelines and hear his heart break into tiny bits. He promised to dance with her, but he had disappeared and felt to had no reason to stay there. Walking away from that corner he could not longer watch her be happy, he was becoming jealous. Making his way out he ripped the flower from his suit.
How did she not feel the same feelings for him?

'Lucio' "You're the only pretty girl in that school. I don't think anyone could outshine you." He said remembering the time he tried to confess.
'Hana' "aww Lucio I think you are the most handsome!"
Remembering her response caused him to feel the hot tears running down his face and he couldn't believe that he even had hope for tonight.
'Bang'
'Hana' " hey Lucio you in here? You owe me a dance!"
A little bit shocked from the bang he looked in the mirror well answering her.
'Lucio' " yeah I'll be out in a minute just need to use the toilet"
More tears started to run down his face.
'Hana' " well can't wait got so much to tell you about the guy, I think I'm gonna go on a date with him"
'Lucio' " okay Hana"
