Ch.58 Tantrum

Following the sounds of Elena's screams of rage and blasts of magic, everyone went up to the gym where they peeked through the windows to see Elena doing exactly what she had told them she was going to do. With her raging screams and eruptions of her magic that she shot at every training target, everyone couldn't believe their eyes as they watched her throw her tantrum.

"Damn" Aidan breathed in shock "I've never seen her like this before."

"She wasn't kidding when she said she was going to throw a tantrum" Darling gasped.

They continued to watch as Elena let her magic burst out of her hands and up into the ceiling while crying out in anger. When she was finished, everyone could see the burns on the ceiling and steam coming out of her hands and head. Even from afar, they could see that her face was red with sweat dripping down her forehead. She was puffing heavily while hunching over, and her knees began to wobble as she dropped to her knees.

"Okay I think she's done" Mira concluded as they pushed open the gym doors as Elena turned to them with her wet eyes.

"Hey Elena" Olivia greeted with a gentle smile.

Elena let out a sigh before replying- "Did you guys see everything?"

"Pretty much" Terrence shrugged.

She groaned "I'm sorry you guys had to see that."

"Don't feel bad" Darling persuaded "You needed to let your anger out, it's a good stress reliever."

"Come on" Olivia went over to her and helped her up "Let's take a seat."

They went over to the bleachers where they took a seat around Elena.

"I don't know what's wrong with me" Elena mumbled, "I've never thrown a tantrum like that before, not even when I was a kid."

"It's fine" Olivia rubbed her shoulder "Like what Darling said, you needed to let your anger out."

"And speaking of anger" David added, "You wanna talk about it?"

She let out a big sigh while hunching over "What's there to talk about when you guys already know what's going on."

"So?" Aidan replied, "That doesn't mean we can't talk about it."

"Lydia has the items we need to break this curse" she growled while clenching her fists "She has no idea how much we've been through to get those."

"We understand" Olivia admitted, "We've been through a lot just to get those."

"Although-" Aidan suddenly put in "I don't think she has everything. I think Danielle still has the Blue Fairy's wand, and Destiny hasn't given us the Olympian Crystal."

"Yeah," Olivia nodded in agreement "And let's not forget she hasn't given us that Key of Great Power, whatever that is."

"But she still has the other items" Elena frowned.

"We know" she sighed "But we're gonna get them back."

"Oh really Olivia?" Elena challenged with a scowl "You really think so? You really think we can go up against Lydia? That bitch is the reason we're in this mess, a mess that we can't even escape from! Not only does she have the items we need to get home, but she set this apocalypse on us which could kill us any time now!"

Everyone was full of shock by Elena's behavior as they watched her clenched her fists tightly.

"And not to mention that I might go dark again" she quivered "I've already suffered enough going dark, and I don't wanna go through it again."

"Well we won't allow it" Mira declared.

"But what if it does happen? You heard what Lydia said, if I go dark again, this time there won't be a way to bring me back. I'll be the Evil Queen again, and this time it'll be permanent."

Nobody said a word as Elena burst into tears while burying her face in her palms. Everyone gathered around her to comfort her just as they heard the gym doors open as they turned to see Lauren coming in.

"Sorry for intruding" she spoke, "But can I say a few words to Elena?"

They pulled away from Elena as Lauren knelled down in front of her.

"Hey Elena" she greeted calmly as Elena kept her teary eyes hidden in her palms "Look, I know what's going on and everything, not only does Lydia have the items but, you're scared of going dark again. But even if that does happen again, I know that you will come back, because I don't believe you can be evil forever."

"But the book says-" Elena started to say when Lauren cut in.

"Forget what the book says, and forget what Lydia told you. I know you Elena, I know that in your heart you're not evil, it's like what I told you the first time we met, do you remember that day? The day we met, when I found you crying in the janitor's closet, I told you that I wanted to be your friend and you didn't believe me, but then I proved it to you."

Elena gave a big sniff while dropping her hands on her thighs to expose her wet eyes and puffy nose.

"Elena, I never regretted that day" Lauren stated while taking Elena's hands "I knew that from the moment I saw you getting bullied, I knew that all you needed was a friend, a friend who sees past the dark magic and to the real you. And now look at us, you're still one of my best friends, and I will not let anything happen to you."

"Easy for you to say" Elena mumbled, "You don't know what can happen to me, I could go dark and hurt everyone."

"Well if you go dark, then I'll join everyone to fight to bring you back."

She too began to feel her eyes water as she kept holding onto Elena's hands.

"Look-" she continued in a mumble "Whatever happens, I want you to know that I love you, and you will always be one of my best friends."

Elena gave a big sniff while looking into Lauren's eyes.

"I love you too" she whimpered "And I never regretted letting you help me. Because if it wasn't for you, I would have killed myself that day."

Those words made everyone's heartbreak.

"You saved my life" Elena sniffed "And I am grateful for that."

And with that, they leaned in and into a hug while letting their tears drip down on each other's shoulders. Ever since the day they met, both of them never regretted letting their friendship build over time because it had saved Elena's life. But now, it's everyone's lives that are in jeopardy.
