Ch.61 She controls all

As everyone watched their only high school burn down, they began to fear what has happened to Elena and Olivia.

"Hey maybe they're not in there" Aidan suddenly spoke, "Maybe they got out some other way."

"Everyone spread out and search around the school!" Mira ordered as they began to do so.

On the other side of the school, Olivia and Elena found themselves in an alley near a parking lot as they watch the fire take down their school.

"Our school" Olivia mumbled sadly "It's gone."

Elena didn't say anything as they just watch in despair.

"Look on the bright side" they turned around to see the very same girl who they knew started to fire "You don't have to go back to school anymore. Besides, your Senior Year is almost over anyway."

Without thinking, Elena created a fireball in her hand and threw it at Lydia who just simply walked out of the way.

"You bitch!" she growled while throwing another fireball who once against missed its target "You tried to murder all of us!"

"I didn't plan on murdering anyone" Lydia replied, "Just to get you all out of the school."

"And then to murder us?" Olivia added with a frown.

"I'm still thinking about that."

Still clenching her steaming fists, Elena gazed at Lydia with a death glare while feeling her blood boil.

"Hey why the hell are you doing this to us?" she demanded, "Did we do something to you that made you wanna do this?"

"Oh it's not you guys in general, it's everyone that has a story. I'm not going to explain why because it'll make things complicated."

"But why would you want to destroy our stories? Is it because you wanna become unstoppable? To rule the world? We all have our own lives to deal with, and you shouldn't interfere with our stories. You don't see us doing what you're doing, why don't you just go back to your own life and leave us alone?"

Lydia let out a grunt "I have no life, I never had one. Growing up I've been ignored, pushed down, and even tortured."

She lifted up her shirt to reveal scars on her sides as Elena and Olivia let out shocking gasps. From the look of her scars, they appeared to have been from a blade, and they still looked deep.

"How the hell-?" Elena gasped.

"I got attacked by some tormentors when I was 17" she explained while dropping her shirt "They left me in the woods to die until Noah found me and saved me."

The girls stood there in shock as Lydia continued.

"I know what it's like to live in fear" she scowled "Having everyone treat you like crap, not knowing when they can kill you any minute. I knew that when I was little, I was going to change that. I would have everyone listen to my every command, and feel the fear and pain that I went through."

"But why destroy our stories?" Olivia demanded as Lydia gave a snicker.

"I never really planned on destroying your stories, just changing them a bit. I never really approved of everyone's stories, so why not change them to make them more interesting?"

"You know what I think?" Elena spoke up with a frown "I don't think you really wanna change the stories, but control the characters in them. Because you said so yourself, you want everyone to listen to your every command, you want them to bow down to you."
