Ch.54 Bravery

With everyone still in the cafeteria, to past time, some of the people played games, like the Wonderlandians who were enjoying a game of cards.

"At least some of us know how to stay positive in a time like this" Elena told Olivia.

"It's the Wonderlandians" Olivia smirked, "They're always positive, well, mostly Lauren is."

Meanwhile, Darling was peering out the window through the shades. So far, everything appeared the same, that is until she watched as dark dragon tried to get into the school, only to screech when Mira's protection spell zapped it away.

"I sure hope this holds" she breathed.

"You know what I can't stop thinking about" Olivia suddenly spoke, "Where are the Grimm brothers?"

"Yeah" Elena agreed "We didn't see them come in, I hope they're okay."

"Unless they somehow find a way to protect themselves from this" Mira put in "But if they are dead, that's gonna be really sad."

"They're not dead" Destiny suddenly proclaimed "I can feel it, they're alive."

"Do you know where they are?"

"I'm afraid not, but they are alive that's for sure."

"Well, that's good" Elena replied in relief "I mean I never liked Mr. Gram, but he doesn't deserve to be dead."

At that point, Destiny let out a big sigh, reminding Elena that Mr. Gram was still Destiny's father.

"Oh uh, sorry Destiny" Elena apologized with a guilty look "Although I do mean it when I said that he doesn't deserve to be dead."

"I know, I just wish there was a way for him to see me again."

"You still have no idea why he can't see you?"

"Nope" she breathed "I understand why you guys are able to see me, but I never understood by he can't, not even my uncle."

"Well, whatever the reason is, let's just hope it's only temporally."

"I hope so, if not then-".

Before she could finish, she suddenly closed her eyes as she began to grip onto her staff.

"Destiny?" Elena called.

The oracle gripped onto her staff tightly while focusing hard on whatever was going on in her head.

"I think she's having a vision" Olivia remarked a bit surprised.

After a few more seconds, Destiny opened her eyes with a loud gasp as everyone turned their attention to her.

"You okay?" Elena asked, "Were you having a vision?"

"I was" the oracle breathed in shock "And it wasn't good."

"What did you see?"

She sighed "Remember when I said that if we don't stop this apocalypse it will be the end of our stories?"

"Yeah."

"Well, turns out the way to stop this involves great bravery from everyone."

"What do you mean?"

She stood up where everyone could see her.

"Everyone of you must fight" she explained, "Fight to protect your stories and your lives."

"What do you mean we have to fight?" Terrence asked, "Like a battle?"

"This isn't a battle we're dealing with, there was already a final battle, but that was for Elena's belief. But this isn't a battle, this is a war."

Everyone gasped as they all felt their hearts drop.

"I had a feeling something like this would soon come" Destiny added gloomily "We may have won the first battle, but there's still a war going on. And if Lydia wins this war, well, I think you all know the answer."

"Oh my God" Olivia gasped "I never thought anything like that would happen. What do we do."

"Like I said, we have to fight."

"What do you mean by that?" Aidan asked, "Fight what?"

"Whatever this apocalypse brings. Whether it's monsters, old villains, even Lydia and her crew, we must prepare for it."

Everyone couldn't believe what they were hearing, they would have to fight in this apocalypse, all to protect their stories and lives.

"I never thought I would hear those words in my life" Darling admitted while rubbing her arms "And for once in my life, I'm terrified."

"We all are" Elena stated, "But like Destiny said, we have to prepare for it."

"How?" Terrence inquired "Some of us don't have magic, and we don't even have any weapons."

"I will provide the weapons" Destiny offered "Once I do, you all must begin training. You all can train anywhere in the school, even on the football field cause the protection spell reaches there. But we must hurry, I have no idea when the fight will start, but I fear it'll be soon."

Nobody said a word as they glared at one another, not knowing what to say.

"Hey" Elena spoke up, "I know we're scared, but we're also brave. We all have faced evil in our lives, and we all have made it through. Every one of us is a hero, and now it's time for us to be the heroes we are to save our stories. I admit this isn't like anything we've ever faced, this is a war for crying out loud, not some battle that we're so used to. But that doesn't mean we can't take it on.

Yes, there is a chance we may die from this, there's always been a chance of us dying. But yet here we are, still alive and in one piece. I know all the battles you guys have fought, and it amazes me that you guys are still here. Take Brenden for example, he fought against a Jabberwock and survived, and he has the scars to prove it! And speaking of scars, Hailee got scratched by a demonic bear that turned her into a bear, she fought against it, and here she is, scarred like Brenden, but alive and well.

So what I'm trying to say it, we gotta be heroes once again. And even if we die, at least we'll die doing something heroic. It's okay to be afraid, I'm afraid too, and I'm not talking about death, I'm talking about our stories going out of existence. I'm actually fine if I die a heroic death, but what's important is that our stories must live on. So who's with me, will you guys join in protecting your stories?"

After a moment of thinking, everyone smiled while getting up from their seats.

"I'm guessing that's a yes?" Elena raised an eyebrow,

"Hell yeah that's a yes" Darling grinned.
