So I was rereading one of my favorite parts of book 5, The Brightest Night, and I thought of some little things to add to it and figured I might as well share them.
This is the part of the book where the DOD are headed to Burn's stronghold to end the war.

"Mangrove and Grandeur had been left in charge of everyone while they were gone."
In the rainforest......
*loud music blasting*
*RainWings partying and drinking tropical drinks out of coconuts*
*Mastermind is roasting over a spit and screaming*
Grandeur: WE'RE IN CHARGE NOW BITCHES!!!!
Mangrove: DRINKS ARE ON GLORY!
Rainwings: *cheer*
D.O.D.:.........
*******
""WE'RE definitely not killing any of you."
"Unless we have to," Glory observed. "Feel free to provoke us.""
Up in the stands.....
Deathbringer/Jambu: *facetalon*
Deathbringer: She's going to kill me. She is ACTUALLY going to kill me.
Jambu: *groans* Glory WHYYYYYY WHY DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH.

""Oh, I got you two. Did I leave that part out?""
Burn: *gets bitten by Dragonbite viper*
Everyone: *screams*
Deathbringer: *louder then everyone else*
Deathbringer: FUCK.
*******
"Pandemonium erupted in the walls."
Deathbringer: Don't do it. Don't move.
""Fly!" Screamed several dragons."
Deathbringer: She's fine...Don't. Move.
""Kill it!" Roared others. "Or it will kill us all!""
Deathbringer:....Screw it. GLORY!!!!!
Deathbringer: *launches off the wall and grabs Glory*
Glory: What the HELL are you doing?!? Let go of me!
Deathbringer: NO.
Deathbringer: *goes back to the wall*
Glory: *watches friends fly out of danger and struggles against Deathbringer*

Clay had been bitten by the viper.
Glory turned to look at Deathbringer, who was still holding her back.
"Sorry about this, Deathy." She commented before elbowing him in the face.
""Ow!" Deathbringer roared from up in the sky, and a moment later, Glory crash-landed into Sunny. "

""Ah, well," said Blister's voice, behind them. "That would have been convenient, killing all my enemies with one snake, so to speak.""
Everyone:.........
Deathbringer: I get to stab her first.
Glory: WHAT? Hell no; I get to stab her fir-
Tsunami: IM STABBING HER FIRST!
Starflight: I think CLAY deserved first stab once he wakes u-
Peril: I get to melt her face off!
Glory: NO WAY! That's my job!
Sunny: NOBODY IS MELTING BLISTER'S FACE OFF OR STABBING HER!!!!!
Deathbringer: *stabs Blister*
Deathbringer: Too late.
Glory: DAMMIT DEATHBRINGER!

""For now," Blister said. "I'm finally just one step away from the throne that is rightfully mine. And that step, of course-" she turned to her sister, Blaze, who cowered back against the IceWing queen. "Is killing you.""
Glacier:.....
Glacier: Buddy, as much as I want to disembowel you for even thinking about hurting my sugar plum fairy, y'all got a point.
Blaze: Wait WHAT?!?!
Glacier: If you survive, call me!
Blaze: GLACIER WHAT THE HECK I THOUGHT WE WERE CANON!

"You have some nerve," Thorn snapped. "I should kill you myself for that trick you played, locking us in the library."
Smolder:.......
Smolder: We're still going on that date later, right?
Thorn: Oh definitely. If you're still breathing.

"Flower wrapped her arms around one of Sunny's ankles and tugged
as if she was trying to drag Sunny somewhere, squeaking loudly.
"What?" Sunny asked. She looked at Smolder. "What's she trying to say?"
Flower, (who's name is actually Rose)
Flower: TAKE ME BACK TO THE TARDIS! I HAVE TO TALK TO THE DOCTOR!
"He shrugged. "I never know.""

That's all I've got for now. If you liked that, maybe I'll do it again for other parts of the books. On a side note, part of book nine, I had a thought.....
When Turtle goes looking for Glory, and he and Deathbringer are talking, Glory hears them.
But earlier it said she was sleeping.
So if she was TRULY completely asleep, she probably wouldn't hear them talking.
And we all know Glory wasn't exactly a fan of the idea of Sun time in the first place and that Jambu said she didn't do it enough....
So what if Glory doesn't actually sleep during suntime and she just fools Deathbringer into thinking she's asleep?
What if Glory just spends several hours of Sun time checking out Deathbringer while he's not looking?
Cause I think that's pretty likely.
