this is just random realizations, theories, ocs, one-shots, short stories, funny pictures, and anything else i think of related to the epic, awesome series, Wings Of Fire by Mrs. Tui T. Sutherland.
And with it, Wings of Fire officially takes up half of one of my bookshelves. Another arc and a few more legend books and we might fill it.
ANYWAYS THIS BOOK-
Google says it's supposed to be released tomorrow, the original release date was today, and yet I bought it at Barnes and Noble yesterday, so really I have no idea when this was supposed to be out.
BUT ANYWAYS I GOT IT AND READ IT ALL IN LIKE FIVE MINUTES BECAUSE THERE'S NOT MUCH WRITING!
For those of you who don't know, Forge Your Dragon World is, to put it bluntly, Tui's way of telling us to write fanfiction while also giving us an instruction manual on how to write them WELL.
And if that isn't just a god move, I don't know what is.
She basically went "Hey? See this thing I wrote? Here is a step by step guide on how to do it. It's FREE REAL ESTATE"
And it's actually really nice! There's a lot of pictures from the graphic novels and she talks about the step by step process of how a novel gets turned into a graphic novel.
At the same time it seems like a very basic oc/story making guide, but I say that as someone who has been writing and developing characters and stories for years. For people who haven't been doing that, this is a gold mine.
And even if you're like me and are already familiar with the basics, there is still stuff worth using in here!
For instance- I struggle with world building, and there's like a WHOLE CHAPTER DEDICATED TO IT that actually has a lot of useful stuff.
So in short I like Forge Your Dragon World, will be recommending it to anyone I know that wants to get into fanfiction or writing in general as it's a great dragon themed starting point
