Book 15 Theories

In case you weren't aware, BOOK 15 OF WOF COMES OUT ON APRIL 5TH.

ALSO THE SAME DAY THE COLORING BOOK DROPS!!!

And I will be forcing my roommate to drive me to Barnes and Noble so I can buy copies of both, or I will be temporarily stealing her car to do so myself!

But since Book 15 is the end of an arc (And, though I live in fear, possibly the last book in the main series? Seeing as I can't find evidence Tui has confirmed a 4th arc?) I figured I should at least attempt to think up some theories on what might happen.

Plz keep in mind, it has been a while since I've read any of the books so I might be a bit rusty on the details.

(Though I did rediscover I have most of the series on Kindle and went on a massive binge read of every major ship moment in the series, but that doesn't have much to do with plot)

So we know that  Sky, Tsunami, Bullfrog, Pineapple, Moonwatcher, Qibli, Lynx, Luna, Cricket, Sundew, and Wren are being sent back to Pantala to save the day. The book is from Luna's perspective. Willow and Bumblebee, my precious baby, are in Pyrrhia, but Blue and Swordtail are still on Pantala and being brainwashed.

That being said, rambling time for what I think will be in Book 15~

-LUNA AND SWORDTAIL REUNION. Will it come before or after he's freed from mind control? Who knows?! Tui's been LOVING the angst with these two, so I'm placing my bets on before he's freed. But I have been waiting the entire arc for these two to hug and cry over each other and have a happy reunion and be together forever so TUI THEY BETTER BE HAPPY TOGETHER BY THE END OR I WILL RIOT-

-It may have been mentioned, but personally, I have no idea whom the heck Bullfrog is. Hopefully his character will be developed, and he'll be smart. I can't imagine the queens sending unhelpful dragons on this mission, but Bullfrog better be pretty good in order to justify not sending Clay.

-WE GET TO MEET JAMBU'S BOYFRIEND PINEAPPLE!!! I'm looking forward to seeing who's worthy enough to date Glory's fabulous pink brother, and they better have some interactions because if Glory picked him out of all the Rainwings, they must get along and he must be competent and trustworthy, and please, Tui, I'm begging you, just give me a winglet with Jambu, Pineapple, Glory, and Deathbringer, you're gonna need a small book to satisfy my needs for these interactions.  (Although once we know more about Pineapple's character, fanfiction can satisfy me....)

-Some serious overlap between scavenger and dragon society, likely including some lore, likely some disagreements, likely being generally messy. To be honest, I don't know how the rest of you are feeling about dragons/scavengers overlapping in this series, but I didn't like Dragonslayer all that much, so how Tui plays out a world where scavengers and dragons coexist could be a thing that makes or breaks the end of this arc for me. I don't want dragons to get tossed aside because of people. DRAGONS ARE THE POINT, THE PURPOSE, ETC. Also please, someone, I need so much clarification on dragon to human size ratio and I know I'm not gonna get it. TUI IF YOU'RE GONNA DO IT, MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

-If this IS the last book in the main series, or at least the last one before some sort of time skip as I can't imagine how much longer we can stick with the time we have now, I imagine the epilogue will be LONG. Enough to go back to characters from the other two arcs and wrap up this one. Some serious building in the futures of all the characters (some ship confirmations? Maybe? Please?), likely a lot of consideration for how Pyrrhia and Pantala will interact with each other in the future considering they know about each other now, and they're on very different levels technology wise. Lots of cultural overlap and with it will come a lot of niche worldbuilding things that I will fangirl over.

-I have literally no idea how one goes about defeating a continent ruled by evil plant, so I'm not even gonna try and theorize, I'm just gonna be along for the ride-

-Can SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ME SOME BOOK 15 RIPNAMI CONTENT??? Essentially what I want is the sendoff of the team to Pantala. It would give me everything: Pineapple and Jambu interactions, Willow and Sundew interactions (still not over that scene in 14, just saying), Snowfall and Lynx interactions (Please. They're dating. They need to admit it.) Winter, Moon, and Qibli interactions, especially since Winter's not going but the other two are and you KNOW he's salty about it, ESPECIALLY since Lynx is the Icewing representative. BUMBLEBEE SAYING GOODBYE TO CRICKET AND SUNDEW, AWW THE BABY'S GONNA BE SO SAD!!! Riptide and Tsunami interacting about her leaving the continent AGAIN and maybe, y'know, HE'D SAY SOMETHING.

LIKE THAT HE LOVES HER OR Y'KNOW. 

I'LL TAKE WHAT I GET. WE LIVE ON SCRAPS HERE IN FANDOMLAND.

JUST GIVE ME SOME DIALOG, SOME HUGS, THAT'S ALL I NEED TUI, IT'S NOT THAT HARD, EVEN SUPERNATURAL DID IT.

-Some angst. I have a weird feeling somebody's not making it out of Pantala alive. I don't know who. I don't know on what side. Somebody's just not making it. Also the angst of Blue and Swordtail coming out of mind control and reuniting with Cricket and Luna.

-D I D I MENTION HOW FERAL I'M GONNA GO OVER SWORDTAIL SEEING LUNA AGAIN CAUSE YOU KNOW HE'S GONNA CRY AND I'M HERE FOR IT-

-This seems like a small thing, but like, a scene where the Pyrrhia dragons return after they save the day and everyone wants to know how it went, and somebody (probably Tsunami), just waves it off and is like "Oh, you know, we saved the world. Again. No big deal."

I'm interested to see, since this book is definitely going to be more scavenger focused, how that will work with it being Luna's perspective. POV switches? Luna has secret powers we don't know about? The possibilities are endless.

-I bet someone will put together that Sky is Peril's brother. Moon, Qibli, or Tsunami will figure it out and it'll be a whole thing. Can't wait. That'll be an interesting reunion, though they'd make the BEST SIBLINGS and they could both use more love in their life. (Peril forcing Clay to hug Sky cause she can't. You know he would.)

-Cricket will spend at least half the book questioning Wren about everything in her life.

-Obviously, everything in the prophecy will make sense, but to be honest I think it already does.

Turn your eyes, your wings, your fire
To the land across the sea

Obviously, look to Pantala

Where dragons are poisoned and dragons are dying
And no one can ever be free.

Again, what life is like on Pantala

A secret lurks inside their eggs.

Hivewings mind control.

A secret hides within their book.

The map to Pyrrhia.

A secret buried far below
May save those brave enough to look.

The abyss in the epilogue of 14, or possibly the human village there, will be useful.

Open your hearts, your minds, your wings
To the dragons who flee from the Hive.

Be open to new dragons, and new possibilites

Face a great evil with talons united
Or none of the tribes will survive.

The crew of one dragon from each tribe is talons united, and if they fail, well, then everyone is doomed.

The only thing I'm left wondering about is how the abyss will factor into the book, but I have to wait like 6 days to find out!!

I think that's all I've got for now, but I CAN'T WAIT.
