Hey guys. I don't mean to be a downer or to depress you during the holidays but I thought I should get this out there. In my town there's a girl named Lyla. She's only in elementary school. She had cancer. A couple years ago we had a "Love For Lyla" football game. It was a fundraiser for cancer and it was dedicated to her. Lyla got to dress up and everyone treated her like a princess. She walked around the track at the football game with a bunch of people and everyone cheered her on. There were even fireworks. Anyway, now for the sad part. A couple weeks ago the doctors sent Lyla home. There weren't any more treatments for her and she passed away on Christmas Day. Now people have put purple ribbons all around town in her honor. I didn't know Lyla but I thought people should be aware of this. Prayers for Lyla.
