The whole gathering was just so full of tension, we can sense that Nat wasn't very comfortable but so did we. Alexis and Kylie didn't come as they had lots of things to do so we were just me, Anna, Louis and a boy called Liam. How can I begin with Liam, he's like a glue to Louis, same personality same everything. Sticking to him by his side as if he's his shadow and not leaving him anywhere. Liam doesn't have close friends except for us so he's always in our outings and we don't really mind him that much. Liam was bestfriends with char, up until he developed feelings for her but it was too late as she was already with Aiden. The second thing we got is that he dated another girl which was Aidens ex. Coincidence? I think not.
Caleb wasn't in the mood for gathering so he didn't come either. I really wish he could.
"I'm going to the loo." Nat said and went away.
"I really love the food at jays, right guys?" Anna asked.
"Yeah same here." Liam and I said.
"Amm, I'm going for a sec guys, be right back." Louis said and stood himself up and went all in a matter of seconds.
"What's app with him?" Liam asked.
"God knows." I replied.
"Weirdo." Thats liam, always sticking by Louis even though we all know that Louis isn't his favorite but he got no choice.
"Okay so we got the check, can we go now?" Anna asked. It was obvious that no one did enjoy the outing as it wasn't really a birthday it was just a random gathering.
"Yeah I think so, let's go." I said and we all stood up. Still no sign of Louis or Nat.
The moment we stepped foot out of Jays, we found them. I wish I didn't.
They were sitting so close to each other, his hands is resting on her shoulders and her leaning to him so much. He was whispering things to her as it was obvious that she was laughing. Then they stopped looking directly to each other's eyes as if it was the end of it. All I did was keep telling my self that it was nothing, she was sad and he is her bestfriend it's obvious that he's going to be soft on her, very soft.
I kept on overthinking about the things that made me overthink a lot. Up until him not answering me even though he was online, she was too. They say so replies make me think you're talking to someone better than me. And I couldn't get this quote of my head. The eye contacts that never ends between them, the smile that is spread when they both see each other. On her birthday when both of them went off and nobody knew where they were, but they both came back with huge smiles, and red faces. What is really happening?
"Order an uber, now." I told Anna.
Anna knows me well too much that it can be a problem. I never told anyone about my overthinking or anything about them both but by Anna's face you could tell that she understood me way too well.
Nat and Louis noticed us immediately as in a second both of them shifted away from each other.
"Hhey Guys." Nat said with her eyes at me.
"Uber is outside." Anna said.
"What? You're going now?" Louis asked. As if he was sitting with us the whole outing.
"Yes." Anna replied.
"Why?" Why is he always asking so many damn questions.
"We don't have that much time to answer your endless questions, uber is outside let's go."
I said my goodbyes to Liam and Nat and wishing her a happy birthday something more fun than what we did, and we made our way outside.
"Are you okay?" Anna asked. No I am not, I really wish I could talk to you but it's so hard for me because no one will believe it.
"Yeah I'm okay of course." I lied.
I'm thankful that she didn't ask anything else and just dropped it off. As I was looking through the glass I saw Nat telling Louis something and then she left behind and went somewhere else. I guess all of us weren't fund of this outing.
Mom was out of the country and so it was me, zayn and dad all alone. It's was Thursday so as a tradition we spend the evening at my grandmothers house.
"Lou your phone is ringing." Aiden called me out.
I checked my phone and saw that it was Nat.
"Hey girl." I said.
"Hey lou." She paused. "Amm hey I wanted to talk to you about something."
"Okay?" I really didn't know what else should I say. I hope she'll say something that won't cause hurt to me.
"Lana I just feel like things aren't alright between us. Like I feel that you don't know love me like before, we aren't like years before. The way sometimes you look at me I feel like you always want to tell me something but you decide against it. Whatever that is, I hope you really don't hate me lana because I always feel that."
"What? No I don't hate you Nat, you are my bestfriend like old days, but these days I don't know what is happening to me. I'm sorry if I made you think that way."
"Don't worry about it. And Lana, there is something really important I should tell you." Fuck no.
"What?" I asked.
"No tomorrow when I see you before the lesson. I just have to be with you when I tell you. Please don't be mad about Alexis and Kylie." I am so confused.
"They know about the mystery thing?" I laughed.
"Yeah."
"What is it about? Give me a hint." I hate suspense.
"You."
"What?"
"It's about you lana." She's not making me comfortable with it.
"Is it.. is it a thing like Adam?" I just had to say that.
"No. Don't worry."
"Gosh thank god."
"Okay I'll see you tomorrow."
We hang up and it didn't make me feel any better. I was so lost in my thoughts to think about what could she possibly want to tell me? My mind was so full of moments of them together, but honestly I won't try to ask them anytime soon, or any time for all that matters. I just have to live with the hell of overthinking. It really does kills you sometimes.
Out of anger and curiosity, I didn't want to respond to any of the texts including Louis's, specifically Louis's because all I was thinking about was moments of them. I hate getting flashbacks from things I don't want to remember.
