She knelt down and put her head on the chopping block. As the crowd watched on, the executioner raised his axe, and with one swift motion, chopped her head off. The crowd cheered as they always did. The traitor was defeated. As the crowd dispersed, the executioner saw the dark spirit. The spirit that possessed the countess to commit treason for him. The executioner nodded to it, and the spirit vanished, in case it was seen, but it was satisfied. This executioner was under his thumb. He would kill two of the guests for him when the games began.
