My alarm rang through my room, but to me it sounded distant.
I've been awake for the past three and a half hours due to my stupid nightmares, but didn't bother getting out of bed.
I wasn't in the mood for anything, then again, I'm never in the mood for anything. Sighing, I pull the covers to the side and throw my legs off the side of the bed before pushing myself up so that I'm sitting on the bed instead of lying down.
For the first time in almost three years, something new was able to catch my attention so much, I hadn't stopped thinking about it since yesterday.
For some reason, I can't get the whole Veronica, Matt and Andrea argument out of my head since it happened, and what frustrates me is the fact that no one is willing to tell me what the hell is going on!
Groaning, I push myself off the bed and do my morning routine before putting on my school uniform. Grabbing everything I need, I make my way downstairs where mom hands me my protein shake and a bottle of water before pressing a kiss to my cheek.
Downing the protein shake, I hit the glass down on the table before gulping down the water to get rid of that horrible taste.
I don't feel for breakfast so I just grab a banana before leading Em to the car and buckling her up. All the way to Zayn's house and to Emily's school, she's been singing and dancing along to the music playing on the radio, excited to get to school so she could play with her friend, Cole.
I'm not gonna lie, I hate that her first friend just so happend to be a boy, but seeing her this happy to see her friend really makes me happy. At least there's hope for one of us.
"Bye, B. I love you!" Emily greets, pressing a kiss to my cheek.
"Love you too, Munchkin!" I call after her. I watch her run excitedly and hug the boy who I'm assuming is Cole. The guy who drops him off looks very familiar, but I brush it off and just drive off to school.
When I pull in my usual spot, I notice Veronica's and Matt's cars already parked, but River's is missing.
Looks like someone overslept. Again.
I barely even step foot in the building when Matt comes barreling down the corridor, a weird gleam in his eyes.
"Blake!" He yells as he runs towards Zayn and I, catching everyone around us attention in the process.
Matt is running so fast that he doesn't slow down in time so I step out of the way, not wanting to be run into.
In the end, Matt tried stopping but ended up bumping right into Zayn, sending them both to the ground.
Sighing, I shake my head and just walk on.
And these are my friends. How I found them you ask? They followed me home one day, desperate for attention. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of feeding them once and now I can't get rid of them.
An arm is thrown over my shoulders and before I can get the chance to look up, River's voice fills my ears.
"How are we friends with those two idiots?" He sighs and in the corner of my eye I see him shaking his head.
When did he get here?
"I ask myself that question everyday." I sigh, the two of us continuing to walk down the corridors.
"Hey!" Zayn whines and I can already hear the pout in his voice.
"I'm going to pretend you guys didn't just say that." Matt says. "But, Blake, I wanted to ask if we could have practice during lunch hour instead?"
