We've been busy with this assignment for nearly two and a half hours and we haven't even reached halfway yet. When I read over the information on the page I knew it would be a lot of work, but I didn't think it would be this much.

This is gonna take two weeks to finish, especially with our friends that are too lazy to do work.

River and Andrea, surprisingly, did some work before Andrea ended up getting frustrated and just tossed her work onto the floor. That was an hour and a half ago. Matt was laying on the floor on his stomach, his work out in front of him and his phone right next to it. Matt spent more time on his phone than he did doing work.

It was Zayn that surprised me the most. Unlike the rest of our friends, Zayn sat on the floor in front of Veronica and I as the three of us worked together. River tried speaking to Zayn but the guy just got ignored. Zayn acted as if he didn't even hear River talking to him.

As much as it confused me, I didn't say anything. I'll rather wait until it's just the two of us instead. Veronica on the other hand was actually worried about Zayn, but whenever she asked him if everything was okay, he would just give her his million dollar smile and assure her he was, in fact, perfect.

Suddenly the door opens and the noise from upstairs flows into the room along with Lynn. "Hey, kids. You guys have been busy for a while now. I'm sure you must be hungry. Take a break and come eat." She says and Veronica lets out a groan.

"Yes please!" Veronica groans and Lynn laughs, shaking her head as she heads back up the stairs.

The six of us leave everything the way it is and join the rest of the Stone family upstairs in the kitchen. Ben sits at the head of the table and Lynn next to him while Mason sits at the other end of the table across from his dad. The rest of us all take random seats and Veronica ends up sitting at the end with Mason on her right and me on her left.

For the first few minutes we all eat in silence, the only sound coming from the cutlery hitting against the plate. If I'm being honest, this is probably the first time this people is so silent.

It's kind of freaky.

"Ronnie, your dad and I were talking and we came to the realization that maybe we were overreacting a bit." Lynn suddenly says and Veronica raises a brow at her mother.

"Which part? Being grounded or being carless?" She asks and Lynn rolls her eyes.

"The grounded part. You still aren't driving-"

"Mom, I'd rather be grounded until I'm old, gray and crippled instead of not driving." Veronica whines and I bite back a laugh while Ben actually chuckles, shaking his head at his dramatic daughter.

"I know, but I'm still worried, okay? Just give me some time." Lynn says and Veronica frowns.

"But Ronnie was the one who got in the accident. Why are you the one that needs time?" Cole asks, his head tilting in confusion and his brows furrowed.

Lynn chuckles. "I just do, baby." She reaches over and ruffles her son's hair.

At least she isn't grounded anymore. Maybe I can see if I can get mom to ask Lynn if Veronica can stay over Saturday night to 'help out' so that she doesn't have to come up with an excuse to go to the tracks?
