One and a half hours later, we pull up at an old deserted and abandoned road that's out of town. River's BMW M4 pulls up beside me.
The place is already packed with people and cars. Music is playing form different cars, but it doesn't clash. Girls barely wearing any clothing litter around either hanging to guys arms, pretending to be interested in the cars or they're dancing like they should be on poles.
It's disgusting, honestly, but even I use them just for fun. I mean, if they're offering then who am I to say no, right?
Scanning the crowd, my eyes land on a group of racers we know, so River, Zayn and I all make our way towards them.
"Yo Wilder!" Jason hollers with a grin on his face. I walk up to the group, greeting them all. Jason and I met a few weeks ago and for some reason, he was impressed. He kept telling me he wanted to introduce me to his best friend, but the guy didn't show for two weeks.
"Sup, bro" I greet him back. I'm not surprised to see he's the only guy here without a girl on his arm. Apparently he's not that kind of guy. I guess there's a first for everything.
Catching up with the guys I haven't seen since last week Saturday, River and Zayn leaves because some idiot, Zayn, needed to use the toilet. Knowing them, they'll be gone a while because Zayn is most definitely going to hook up with someone River helped him get.
Same old shit, different day.
"Jay!" A voice yells but I pay no attention to the girl. Probably just another girl hoping to get his attention only to fail miserably.
"Hey, where have you been the last 2 weeks?" Jason questions, but I decide to just focus on whatever joke Connor is telling us. Only when the girl answers, do I realize I know that voice and those names.
"Mason, Kate and Jake are around here somewhere and to answer your question, I-" I spin around on my heel, my eyes wide as I take Veronica in. She stops talking when her eyes land on me, mirroring my shocked expression. "Blake?" She squeaks out.
"Veronica? What are you doing here?!" I demand.
"Me? What are you doing here?" She asks still shocked.
My blood starts boiling. This is no place for her to be. I wrap my fingers around her wrist and drag her away from the group of guys I was just with, ignoring the confused look Jason sends us and not even bothering to acknowledge Andrea.
"Did you follow me here?" I ask, not caring how harsh I sound.
"What? No!"
"River fucking invited you and Andrea didn't he? That fucking bastard!" I growl out already scanning the area. My eyes land on Matt who's standing beside Andrea, both talking to Jason.
Did Matt bring them? That motherfucking asshole!
"No-" Veronica starts but a voice cuts her off.
"Veronica!" Royton calls out as he walks up to us sporting a wide smile on his face. Veronica turns to face him and her confusion is suddenly replaced by happiness. "Where were you the past two weeks?" He asks, pulling her in for a hug.
What in the world is happening here?
"Hey, Tony. I had to lay low, Duke wasn't exactly happy about losing." She chuckles, wrapping her arms around him.
Wait, hold up! Back that train up! Losing? Are they saying what I think they are?
"Blake, my man!" Royton greets me, snapping me out of my thoughts. I smile at him, greeting him with a hug.
