"Blake! Let's go!" Mom yells from downstairs and I groan.
I love my mom, I really do, but that's the 9th time she's called me this morning and it's only 10am.
Today is Sunday, the only day I'm allowed to laze around and sleep however late I want, but apparently not today, because today is also the day the girls are going out for their 'girls day' at the hair salon.
Yesterday, when we got back from the beach, it was already dinner time. Matt and Veronica suggested we all go out to eat before going home, but Alyssa and Jordan said they needed to be home for dinner or their dad would kill them.
Andrea, for a reason only she knows about, decided she wanted to go home and River was the one who had to drop her. Myself and Matt were not very happy about that.
In the end Matt, Veronica and I ordered enough food to feed a village and pigged out in the den while playing video games.
"Blake Dylan Wilder. Don't make me come up there and drag you down here myself." My mother's warning tone travels up the stairs and to my room.
"I'm coming! Geez woman!" I grab my duffle bag containing my spare clothing, shove my phone and wallet in my pocket, then grab my keys before jogging downstairs, where I find mom and Emily waiting in the living room.
"Finally." Mom sighs and I make the mistake of rolling my eyes. "You aren't too old for an ass whipping." She warns and Emily giggles.
"You own a car, mom." I remind the woman as we walk towards my car and I unlock it. "You could have left without me." I point out, opening the door and raising a questioning brow at her.
"No." Is all she says before getting in the car and shutting the door.
Well then.
Sighing, I climb in the car and buckle up. After checking to see that mom and Emily both have their seatbelts on, we're off to the Stone family house.
The short drive is spent with us making small talk while the radio plays softly in the background.
Mom wanted to know more about what happened yesterday on the beach between Tessa, Veronica, Douchebag and I. Of course I told her everything but it only seemed to piss mom and I off so I changed the subject and told her about Matt finally liking someone instead.
And holy shit! Mom was beyond happy to hear the news.
We're all one big family, a family the Stone family has been included in.
We pull in the driveway and I find Mason, Veronica and Matt's cars all parked in the driveway. Cutting the engine, I pull the keys from the ignition and exit the car with mom and Emily. After locking the car, the three of us all make our way to the front door and ring the doorbell.
The door swings open with so much force, I'm surprised it hasn't been ripped off it's hinges. I'm even more surprised to see that Cole's the one that nearly ripped the door off from excitement.
"Hello!" Cole exclaims excitedly and I stare down at the little guy with my brows raised in amusement and my lips tugged up in a smile.
"Cole Jade Stone!" Veronica scolds from behind the little one and stops behind him, looking out of breath. "What did I tell you about answering the door alone?" She places her hands on her hips and looks down at her little brother.
"I heard the car." Cole rolls his eyes and Veronica raises a brow at him, not looking amused at all and I frown. Cole notices the seriousness in his sister's expression and lowers his head in guilt, the expression breaking my heart. "I'm sorry, Ronnie. I didn't mean to upset you."
