When I wake up, I find Veronica laying on her side, crawled up in a ball with a pillow between her legs and her arms hugging the top half of the pillow against her stomach. Last night, when I got in bed, I found Veronica in this very same position, so I curled myself behind her, and wrapped my arms around her so I could rub her stomach, hoping it helped sooth the pain.

I feel pretty much useless when Veronica is on her period. Her cramps are so bad, it doesn't look normal at all. When I asked Mason if Kate's cramps were that bad he said no, Kate's cramps are bearable. She just gets moody. He then went on to explain that the first few times Veronica got her period, they took her to hospital because both Kate and Lynn said it wasn't normal.

After a few tests, they found out it was all because of Henry that she was suffering like this, that and she's anemic, something I had no idea about.

Mason and I are the first two awake this morning so the two of us settled on making breakfast. We don't go for anything fancy, instead we just settle for cheese omelets with a few bacon strips. It's our first morning having breakfast together and since we are so many, we all ate in the den.

Breakfast was filled with laughter and jokes, no one really wanting to talk about Henry so early in the morning. Veronica, despite being in so much pain, tried joining in on the conversations, but halfway through she just went quiet. The scary part was when she couldn't finish her breakfast because she didn't have an appetite. She barely even touched her omelet and only had three out of five strips of bacon.

After breakfast, Mason announced that the two of us made breakfast so we weren't cleaning the kitchen. After a few rounds of rock, paper, scissors, it was settled that Jason and Jake were on dishes duty.

While the two guys clean the kitchen, well more like playing around, I let everyone know I'm heading to the store in case anyone needs anything.

While I'm changing in Veronica's bathroom, Zayn comes running into the room, without knocking, and giving Veronica the biggest fright of her life.

"What the hell?" I ask, exiting the bathroom. I find Veronica standing beside her bed, her one hand clutching her chest and the other hand on the edge of her bed to steady her as she glares at an embarrassed Zayn.

"Shit, sorry, I thought you were in the study." He says sheepishly and Veronica breaths out a long breath. Then he turns to me, a wide smile on his face and I know he's about to ask me something. "Can you give Jordan and Alyssa a lift home? Their grandma got back from the hospital this morning?"

"Yeah sure. I'll be leaving soon though." I say and his wide smile is so wide, I was scared it would split his face. Zayn runs out of the room, shutting the door behind him and Veronica chuckles, shaking her head.

"It's hard to stay mad at him." She laughs. "He's too adorable for his own good." She says and I mock hurt as I walk towards her in only a jeans.

"Did you just call Zayn, the most annoying person I have ever met, adorable?" I ask, stopping in front of her. Veronica grins as she looks up at me and nods her head. "And what am I?" I ask, leaning down and brushing my lips against the corner of her lips.

"My cheesy as hell boyfriend." She winks before cupping my cheeks and guiding my lips to hers and kissing me. Pulling away, she turns me around, shoves me towards the bathroom, and slaps my butt. "Now go get ready. Alyssa and Jordan are probably waiting." She says and I stare at her in disbelief before shaking my head and walking back to the bathroom.

I don't bother closing the door, I rarely ever do and I just have to put on my t-shirt anyway. When I come back into the room, Veronica has a pair of black socks on the bed with my sneakers resting by the foot of the bed. I can't help but smile as gets done.
