I'm not exactly happy with this chapter, but I figured might as well upload it.

Apart from the music playing softly the drive is silent. It isn't an awkward silence, but comfortable.

Ever since I asked her out on this date back at Zayn's I have been stuck in my head trying to think of something to do. We're obviously going to eat, seeing as this girl loves food, but the question I'm asking myself is; where? Where the fuck do I take her?

Nothing fancy, that much is obvious. I don't want her walking away before the date even starts.

By this point, I am just driving around aimlessly, hoping something just pops up.

Think, Blake, think!

Okay, so Veronica is nothing like other girls. She's actually the complete opposite. So, whatever one does for a girl that just wants to be treated like royalty, I should do the opposite of with Veronica.

Holy shit! I think I got an idea! It might be pretty lame, but if it is I'll just make up for it again. That's if she agrees to go on another date with me after this one.

I put on my left indicator and after checking my side mirror, I turn the steering wheel to the left with the palm of my hand, a wide smile on my face. Please Lord, let this work.

I pull into Mc Donalds parking lot and my heart nearly fucking leaps when I see Veronica's eyes light up, her smile so wide I wonder if her cheeks hurt.

"Come on, Firefly." I chuckle, turning off the car. She doesn't have to be told twice, because as soon as her seatbelt is unbuckled, her door swings open and she practically flies out, leaving me shaking my head with laughter.

We aren't  eating in because I have other plans and still have one more stop before our final destination, where we would be eating.

I swear I've never seen someone, a girl to be exact, get this excited over food before. Like, ever! It makes me happy, she isn't the kind of girl to watch her figure and live off on salads.

The drive to our final stop has Veronica singing and dancing along to the songs on the radio just like how she did on our first trip to the beach.

When we pull in the empty parking lot of the beach, I kill the engine and turn to face Veronica, who is beaming in the passenger seat.

"Do you need a hoodie?" I ask.

Veronica bites down on her bottom lip and shakes her head.

"Nah, I'll be okay. Besides, if I do end up getting cold then I'll just steal yours." She winks before unbuckling her seatbelt and climbing out of the car.

Well, I was anyway gonna offer you mine.

I grab our food then climb out of the car. Veronica meets me at the front of the car and takes some of the food from me before the two of us start walking, looking for a nice spot on the sand.

It isn't cold, the air is warm and the wind is light, causing Veronica's hair to fly in her face. She ends up groaning and turning around, walking backwards so her hair is flying behind her instead.

Once we find a spot, we both sit down beside each other and place the food down in front of us.

Only once everything is placed down in front of us do I realize how much food we actually got.

"I hope you're hungry." I laugh, my eyes scanning the food.

There is one large meat lovers pizza, one chili cheese burger, fries, a big mac meal and two large cokes. All just for the two of us.
