Veronica is fast asleep beside me and I won't lie, she looks adorably innocent, then again, when doesn't she?
I have to tear my gaze away from her since River is still in the room and I don't want to give him a reason to 'prove' his point.
River and Zayn are both convinced I have some kind of crush on her, which I'm starting to believe but I won't admit that to them, and the whole spin the bottle game last night didn't help considering she gave me one hell of a boner with just a make out session.
My plan was to tease the hell out of her, but damn was I surprised when she took over, putting me on the receiving end of the torture. It didn't help that we shared a bed and I let my damn hormones get the best of me. What possessed me to tell her about Tessa is a mystery I have yet to solve.
"There's a blanket in my wardrobe, wanna pass it over?" I ask River, who's sitting on the beanbag that sits beside the black leather couch under my window. He rolls his eyes but gets it anyway. Once he throws it on top of me, I open it and cover the two sleeping girls on the bed.
Who ever said I was a heartless person?
Oh yeah, I did.
I feel the bed moving and when I turn to look, I see Andrea turning onto her back, her hand nearly whacking Veronica on the head. I shoot my arm out so fast to stop her before she can actually hit her. When she pulls her arm back and rests her hand on her stomach, I sigh in relief. It's the third time this chick has moved and Veronica hasn't even moved once.
I try taking the pillow from Veronica but her grip on it tightens. I gently lift her one leg to remove the pillow before doing the same with her arm. She stirs before her arm is thrown over my torso and subconsciously, I move slightly towards her and her grip around me tightens. I have to fight the smile that tugs at my lips. I then place the pillow behind her before grabbing another one and placing it under the blanket behind her butt so that if Andrea does end up throwing her karate moves, Veronica won't wake up with bruises.
River is smiling like the idiot I always knew he was when he sees what I've done.
"What?" I ask and raise a questioning brow at him.
"I saw that." He smirks
"Saw what? Me placing two pillows behind Veronica to prevent your girlfriend from killing her?" I ask and he rolls his eyes.
"Her arm around you, you asswipe."
"You say it like I put it there."
"But you didn't take it off and you moved closer to her." He smirks.
"Shut up! I did not move closer to her and she was holding onto that pillow as if her life depends on it." I groan and he laughs.
The two of us spend the rest of the time just talking and catching up on the little there is to catch up on. At some point he doses off and minutes later I follow behind. My sleep don't last long since his damn girlfriend can't lay still for the life of her and decided to throw her damn fist against the top of my head. I groan when I wake up and nearly punch her awake.
Who the hell wrestles in their damn sleep? Can't she be like Veronica? This girl hasn't even moved since she wrapped her arm around me!
I throw a pillow at a still sleeping River and he wakes up grunting.
"What?" He groans, rubbing his eyes.
"Your girlfriend hit me!" I seethe and he laughs.
Suddenly, my door opens and Cole and Emily both come running in. "Mommy says that the food is ready!" Emily says only to stop and stare at the position Veronica and I are currently in. I don't miss their huge smiles as they turn to look at each other.
