Last night, Emily and I were the last to leave the Stone family's house. Cole had begged us to let Emily stay and Ben and Lynn even allowed both Emily and I to sleep over, but I didn't want to leave mom home alone.

I would have been okay with Emily staying over, but Veronica looked panicked by the idea, no doubt because of Henry and I knew how much it hurt her knowing that Cole ended up suffering too.

Grabbing my phone from the bedside table beside me, I unlock it and send a quick message to Veronica.

Me: Good morning, Beautiful.

Tossing the covers off of me, I swing my legs over the edge of the bed before pushing myself off and quickly pulling my bed right.

I then grab a grey shorts from my closet and just as I'm about to head to the bathroom, my phone alerts me of a new message. Grabbing my phone, I read the text as I walk towards the bathroom.

My Beautiful Irritation❤️: Ellooo <3

I laugh as I read her message, shaking my head and I shut the bathroom door and emptying out my bladder. Once I'm done, I place my phone on the counter and then brush my teeth.

As I'm brushing my teeth, I unlock my phone to check the time and realize Veronica will be here soon. So after rinsing out my mouth, splash face with water before changing into my shorts.

Sliding my phone in my pocket, I exit the bathroom and go straight to my closet to look for a t-shirt to wear, when suddenly my phone vibrates in my shorts pocket.

My Beautiful Irritation❤️: Looking sexy as ever.

Even though the text confuses me, I can't 't help but laugh. She is so unpredictable and weird that her texts always catch me off guard.

Once, she sent me a random text telling me to look out my window only to find nothing and no one. When I asked her why she asked me to, she responded saying she wanted to see if I would listen to her. Seconds after that message, she phoned me just to tell me she took a poop.

That was the last thing I expected her to say when I answered the phone that night but I still managed to go to bed with a stupidly big smile on my face.

My Beautiful Irritation❤️: Turn around, Doofus.

Confused, I'm just about to turn around when suddenly a pillow is launched at me, making me jump five feet into the air with a very weird sound coming out of my mouth.

I hear her burst out laughing so I spin around and find her sitting on my bed, laughing her ass off.

"You little shit!" I huff, my hand flying to my bare chest and rubbing the spot where my heart is banging against.

Veronica is sitting on the bed, curled over with tears streaming down her cheeks and her arm clutching her stomach.

Despite her nearly giving me a heart attack, the sight brings a smile to my face as I watch her laughing.

It takes a while, not that I'm complain seeing as I love her laugh, before her laughter dies down and she's left gasping for air. She wipes her tear stained cheeks and looks up at me, catching me staring at her so I quickly change my expression and replace my smile with a frown.

She pushes herself off the bed and walks over to me before wrapping her arms around my waist. She leans up and stands on the very tips of her toes but she's still too short to reach my lips so she tugs my head down and presses her lips against mine.

I have to try so hard to fight the laugh.

My frown immediately turns into a smile and she pulls back. "You are so mean." The smile still on my face and she smiles right back.
