Mondays were never a favorite of mine. I've always hated Mondays and I still do, but today, for some weird reason, I woke up feeling less grumpy.
For the first time in a while I was actually woken up by my alarm instead of hours before it due to nightmares.
Holy shit! I actually slept right through the night for the first time in three years!
Feeling well rested for the first time in a while, I throw the covers off and go to my bathroom, this time though, I don't drag my feet as usual. I take a ten minutes shower before brushing my teeth and changing into my school uniform. Once I'm sure I have everything, I make my way downstairs.
"Morning Ma." I greet my mom who has her back turned to the kitchen entrance.
Mom jumps, making some weird sound and nearly spilling her coffee.
"Someone woke up on the right side of the bed" Mom has a confused smile on her face and I just laugh before pressing a kiss to my little sister's head.
I down the protein shake mom had waiting for me on the counter and grab a banana. Mom has her eyes on me the entire time causing me to feel a little weird. She's always watching me, but never this obvious.
"How was Saturday nights races?" Mom ask, leaning against the counter and taking a sip of her hot coffee.
I shrug. "Went well." I answer, peeling the banana. "Matt's people were there. "
That bit is still shocking to me. With just one look at Veronica, one would never know she's into that sorta thing. I know for a fact I didn't think that. Thinking back to the whole Andrea and Veronica argument, I can now see why they were so secretive about everything.
I just don't see why Andrea was so scared for Duke. I get it, the guy acts like the world revolves around him, but he's pretty much a douchebag, that honestly, anyone can take out. Even Veronica can knock the guy out. Hopefully, the race between the two of us was enough to get him to back off.
Matt and Andrea pretty much freaked out when Veronica said she was going back, hopefully Duke will back off now.
"What were they doing there?" Mom asks, her brows raised in shock. Yeah, from what Matt told my mom about Veronica, she definitely didn't expect to hear about Veronica being there. Then again, neither did I.
"Apparently they're racers." I shrug, finishing off my banana. "From what Roytan said they are pretty good. And from what I saw Saturday, pretty good is an understatement!"
"Wow" Mom mumbled under her breath.
Yeah, wow indeed.
Mom kisses Emily and I goodbye and the two of us are off to pick up Zayn before dropping off Emily and heading to school. The entire drive to school Zayn spent talking about the Stone siblings.
Zayn still couldn't get over the shock of Veronica and Mason being brother and sister and yesterday, Zayn spent nearly two hours scolding Matt for keeping such information from us. Then again, Matt lives with the guy so clearly he doesn't see Mason the same way everyone else does.
I mean, Mason had posters of him up almost everywhere. The dude is literally famous and not only here in Los Angeles. Dude's been on TV before. A few times actually.
"Think Veronica would let us hang with her brother?" Zayn turns to face me excitedly just as I pull up in my usual parking spot.
Turning off the car, I turn to Zayn with a smirk. "I already did on Saturday before picking you up" Zayn gasps, looking very hurt by this information. I can see he wanted to ask me how, but before he can, I decide to just get it over with.
