You know, I was so sure Andrea would make an effort with her friendship with Veronica after Matt and I confronted her last week, but apparently not.

Instead, she chose to ignore our confrontation.

Saturday was the first time I've ever seen Mason and Veronica not speak to each other. When she woke up the Saturday morning, she battled a massive hangover. Mason, knowing that his sister would feel like death when she woke up, made as much noise as he could and when she finally got out of bed and joined the rest of the family downstairs, Mason acted as if she wasn't there.

Mason was angry at his sister. Angry because she knew what she was doing and she did it anyway. Matt informed me that it went a lot deeper than I'd understand but didn't explain any further.

Veronica knew why her brother wasn't speaking to her and felt like shit the entire day. Ben and Lynn had no idea what had happened. All they know is that she got drunk and apparently they had a feeling it would happen. Again.

It wasn't until after lunch did Veronica follow Mason up to his room. The two stayed up there for a full two and a half hours while I stayed with Matt and played COD. When the two did eventually come down, they both had red and puffy eyes but wore smiles on their faces.

The days that followed made everyone feel awkward at lunch. Veronica and Andrea weren't talking to each other. Veronica still doesn't know what was said when she slipped away unnoticed, but she knew it was something bad. Especially since Matt wanted nothing to do with Andrea and only stayed at our table because all his friends were there.

I'm a little disappointed in Andrea. Okay, maybe more than just a little. At first, I was convinced she had no idea how she was treating Veronica, but after we confronted her, she still didn't bother speaking to Veronica. Hell, she didn't really speak to any of us except Alyssa and Jordan, who were just as disappointed in her.

Alyssa and Jordan now know everything. Matt asked permission from Veronica if he could tell Jordan everything. She was a little confused as to why he asked her, but she allowed him to anyway. She even suggested he tells both sisters with Zayn present because she didn't want the two boys to have to lie to the girls. Even if Matt and Jordan weren't official yet.

"What time do you have to drive your mom and Emily?" Matt asks and I sigh.

"When this thing ends." I answer, taking a sip of the drink in my hand.

"Will Ve-Bear allow you to drive that far at night? Unless you're staying that side you'll have to drive back alone." Zayn questions and I sigh.

"Probably not, but she could always take a drive with me." I shrug.

Tomorrow is mom and dad's anniversary and mom wants to spend the weekend in Bakersfield to be closer to dad. When she asked me, I obviously agreed, not only because it's their anniversary, but also because Veronica's parents are leaving for the weekend tonight and Mason has an away game so him and Kate won't be here either.

Seeing as tomorrow is my Firefly's birthday and Ben, Lynn, Cole, Kate and Mason won't be here to celebrate her birthday with her, they thought we could all celebrate it a day earlier.

Every year for the past three years since Victoria's death, Ben and Lynn celebrates Veronica's birthday a day before with her and spends her actual birthday at the cemetery with Victoria.

Of course I wasn't very happy to hear that, I mean Veronica deserves to spend her special day with her parents on that day, not a day before.

Obviously Veronica says she doesn't mind, but I still find it unfair.

"And stay with you for the night?" Matt smirks, wiggling his brows and I raise my brow at him.

"For the night? No. I'm asking her to stay the weekend with me." I correct him and the two boys in front of me burst out laughing.
