Waking up this morning I still feel extremely tired, almost like I haven't slept in days, which is weird because lately I've been going to bed a lot earlier than I usually would.
The first thing I notice is that I am alone and Blake's side of the bed is still warm, meaning he hasn't been up very long. I feel a little weak but don't really think anything of it as I reach my hands above my head and stretch my body.
Immediately I wince when I feel the stinging pain in my abdomen. Two weeks ago I was finally released from the hospital after getting stabbed. The pain is still unbelievable and I'm always forgetting about the stupid stitches.
When the doctors released me, they put me on strict bed rest which meant I wasn't allowed to go to school, but after the first week, I was able to convince my family that I was okay enough to go back to school.
Don't get me wrong, I don't love school, but sitting at home while your siblings and all your friends are all at school can get really boring. My dad took off of work to be home with me and Blake would ditch certain classes and come spend time with me, but staying in bed the whole day can only be fun for so long, which isn't really that long to begin with. I'm pretty sure the only reason why my dad allowed Blake to ditch classes is because we always made time for our studies.
Getting out of bed I am suddenly hit with a wave of nausea and dizziness at once, making me shut my eyes and clutch my head in my hands, willing the dizziness to go away. I'm barely standing for a minute when I have to full on sprint the short distance to the bathroom, dizziness and all, to throw up, yet still not making it on time.
I swear I just pushed the door open when last night's supper contents come hurling out and onto the bathroom tiled floor. It's like all my energy went spilling onto the tiled floor along with the contents from my stomach as I just lean my back against the doorframe and just slide down until my butt hits the ground.
With my knees pulled up to my chest, I fold both my arms atop my knees and bury my face in my arms, just as the bedroom door opens and someone comes in. Without having to raise my head I already know it's Blake.
"Firefly? You okay?" Blake asks, his voice dripping with concern. I hear him walking towards the bed and place something on the bedside table before quickly coming over to me again. "What's wrong?" He asks, trying to cup my face in his hands.
"I'm sorry, I'll clean it up. I just wasn't fast enough." I frown, looking up at him to meet his concerned frown.
"What are you-" He asks but cut himself off when he looks up and sees the bathroom floor. I watch as Blake's eyes widen before he quickly looks back at me. "What's wrong, baby? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I think it's just a stomach bug." I smile weakly but I can see in his eyes that he doesn't believe me. I don't blame him though because I don't believe myself.
For the past week I've been feeling sick, getting extreme headaches, random lower back and abdomen pains, high blood pressure, and loss of appetite. I've been feeling nauseas lately but this is the first time that I actually throw up.
"Baby, you need to see a doctor." Blake frowns, scanning my face. "How's your head? Do you still have that headache?" He asks. I purse my lips, getting ready to shake my head but one look at Blake's stern face and I sigh.
"Yeah, I do." I sigh, turning to look at the mess I created on the bathroom floor. Damn, that looks fucking disgusting! With a scrunched nose, I turn back to face Blake. "But it's not as bad as it was last night."
"I'll let Mason know we won't be going to the tracks tonight. You look exhausted, baby. Did you actually get any sleep last night?"
"Yeah, I did, I swear." I frown. I actually went to bed at 7 yesterday and actually managed to sleep right through the night, only waking up twenty minutes ago. I don't understand why I still feel so tired.
