Yesterday, when I got home from practice, I walked right past mom, Emily and Cole in the living room and went straight to my room, shutting the door behind me with a little too much force.

Mom came to my room but instead of saying anything, she just hugged me. I didn't fight it but I didn't have the strength left in me to hug her back. She just held me, no words being said until my room door opened and Zayn and River came walking in.

When they saw mom hugging me, the two didn't say anything. Mom pulled back, kissed my cheek before leaving my room, shutting the door behind her. If this was any other day, my two best friends would have teased me into the next decade for what they walked in on, but instead, the two just joined me on the bed, a bag full of snacks and drinks.

Snacks and drinks that I didn't touch.

The two stayed for three house before leaving me alone in my room. I know they were trying to cheer me up, but I had absolutely no energy left in me. I felt physically and emotionally drained.

It wasn't even ten minutes since the two left when the doorbell rang. I went to go open the door, but just as I exited my room, mom opened the door revealing Veronica. I watched as mom pulled her in a hug, Veronica's face buried in the crook of mom's neck before the two pulled apart. When mom ushered Veronica into the house, her eyes met mine and I felt a stabbing pain in my chest.

She offered me a weak smile, one which I returned with one of my own before mom lead her to the living room and I disappeared back into my room where I shoved my earphones in my ears and busied myself with homework and studying for the rest of the day.

The days after were long and depressing. Don't even ask me how many hours I slept this week. Let's just say it's below 5 hours, for the week.

It feels like nothing is working out for me this week.

First of all, my nightmares are back, causing me to wake up hours before I'm supposed to.

Secondly, Serena's been taking full advantage of Veronica's absence in the cafeteria.

The whole school now knows about the breakup and girls are back to trying to get with me, which only seems to be pissing me off more.

I mean, my girlfriend and I just broke up! Give me a fucking break!

Emily's been asking me about Veronica the most, which only hurts more. Because of my stupidity, my sister lost someone she saw as a sister.

The only time Emily sees Veronica is when she comes to fetch Cole, and even their time together is short.

I didn't tell mom and Emily about Veronica and I breaking up, but I know that they know, yet they still bring Veronica's name up whenever they can.

That lead to me storming out of the house on Wednesday and ended up bumping into Tessa.

A-fucking-gain!

***FLASHBACK***

I'm sitting in the kitchen with mom and Emily, the two talking about some activity Emily did at school. She had to draw a picture of those important to her and she drew us all. Myself, mom, dad, Cole and Veronica.

Mom, being the proud parent that she is, hung the drawing on the fridge door.

"I can't wait to show Ronnie!" Emily exclaimed and mom chuckles, throwing some vegetables into the pot and stirring it." Blake, can you ask Ronnie to come so I can show her?" She grins and I clench my jaw.
