Sunday I spent my day with my friends, and damn was I surprised when River joined us without Andrea.

The four of us spent the whole morning at my place before we ended up going to the park to play some soccer.

Halfway through, Mason and Jason ended up joining us, the two coming from taking Mason's car in for a quick check up.

For the first half of the day I didn't hear from Veronica. At first, I was worried she was avoiding me, but then River said that Andrea hasn't texted him yet either so we assumed the girls were either still sleeping or having a girls day.

It wasn't until 2pm that Veronica texted me saying that she just woke up. Andrea and Veronica spent the whole day in bed, munching on snacks and whatever, but we still texted. I could tell something was off with her by the way she was texting. She was usually so energetic that you could practically feel her hyperactivness just by texting.

Her change of mood towards me scared me. A lot. So I phoned her and asked her if everything was okay. She assured me she was okay, that she just woke up feeling a little weird. The two of us spent 45 minutes talking on the phone before hanging up.

Today, for some unknown reason, we were to dress in casual clothes instead of our school uniform, not that I'm complaining at all. I kept it simple with ripped denim jeans, a pink hoodie and a cap.

When I pull in my usual parking spot, I notice Veronica and River aren't in yet but Matt is, leaning against the bonnet of his car talking to Alyssa. When Zayn spot Alyssa, his entire face lit up, wearing a face splitting grin as he grabs his backpack from the backseat and jumps out of the car.

It's obvious Zayn has actual feelings for Alyssa. Zayn never hooks up with the same girl twice, nor does he actually get excited to see someone he's hooked up with.

Zayn and I used to be the same.

This isn't the first time I see Alyssa and something tells me it won't be the last either.

I watch as Zayn wraps his arms around Alyssa's waist and hugs her, her feet no longer touching the ground and her arms snaked around his neck, her face buried in the crook of his neck.

Well, looks like it's just Matt that needs to settle down now.

Grabbing my bag from the backseat, I get out of the car and lock the door before greeting Alyssa and Matt. The four of us all walk into the school building and to mine and Matt's lockers.

Alyssa greets us, letting us know she'll see us at lunch before walking off. While Matt and I exchange our books in our lockers, Zayn leans against the locker beside me, the three of us all just talking about random stuff. Matt is the first to finish and excuses himself before walking off with some senior.

"Do you think Matt will actually settle down?" Zayn asks, his eyes trained on Matt's retreating figure.

"I didn't think I ever would." I shrug, shutting my locker and hiking my bag on my left shoulder. "Guess we'll just have to wait until he's ready. I'm sure he'll get tired of being the only single one in the group."
