A mistake.
That’s what I would call mine and Andrea's relationship. That's what it's come down to.
One. Big. Mistake.
Truth is, the relationship was never suppose to happen. I was never going to put a label on our relationship because I couldn't. Not when I wasn't sure about my own feelings, but I knew I couldn't act on my own true feelings.
What I did was selfish, I can honestly admit that.
My plan was to keep messing around with her and do the things we did before she made me put a label on things. I knew about her feelings for me which is why I know that what I did was selfish, but there really was a time I started liking her.
Blake, Zayn and I became friends with Matt in middle school and since then he's always spoken about Veronica, Victoria and Andrea. Back then, we didn't really know girls, but we knew they were important to Matt.
When we got to high school, Matt immediately warned us to stay away from both Andrea and Veronica, and the second I laid my eyes on them I understood why. Both girls are fucking beautiful!
It wasn't until they started playing soccer that I knew I was fucked. I mean who wouldn't fall for a girl who is not only hot but knows how to handle a ball? A dumb mother fucker, that's who!
It was last year when we were all juniors that I really became fucked. While everyone thought I was crushing on Andrea, I was actually crushing hard on Veronica Stone. Sure Matt warned us to stay away from both girls but he was always way more protective of Veronica.
At first I thought it was because he didn't trust us with her seeing as we never had serious relationships and we were always sleeping with a different girl every weekend, but every guy at Crenshaw High knew that there was no way they would get with her if Matt didn't approve, so everyday there was a new guy coming up to Matt and asking if they could take Veronica out on a date. I swear, I'm not even exaggerating when I say every single day there was at least two or three guys coming up to Matt to ask, but he's answer was always no.
Jackson is the kind of guy every father wants their daughter to date. He's a straight A student, kinda geeky but, judging from the amount of girls that actually like the guy, he's obviously not bad looking, yet he doesn't give the girls much attention. He's nice enough to greet those that greet him and help you if you need help, but he doesn't go around dating girls just for the fun of it, yet when he asked Matt permission to take Veronica out on a date, the answer was no.
It was then that we all thought it's because Veronica and Matt were dating. I mean they always acted like a couple anyway. They were always hugging, holding hands and he was always holding her, looking the happiest he's ever been. He would randomly kiss her cheek or forehead or even her hands but he never did any of that with Andrea, so obviously we'd think they were dating.
But that didn't stop me from falling in love with her.
Yes, I fell in love with her and I didn't even know it until recently when I asked Blake how he knew he was in love.
I honestly don't remember how or why everyone thought it was Andrea I had a crush on, but I wasn't complaining for two reasons. Firstly, because Matt didn't seem to mind and would actually tease me about it, and secondly, because Veronica and Andrea were always together so I was able to admire her while everyone thought it was Andrea I was looking at.
There was just something about her that's so captivating. Her presence demands your attention without her even having to try. Veronica is always so friendly and never once mistreated someone no matter who you are. She always had this bright smile on her face and always greeted anyone she passed.
